Current mood: creative
This is a poem I wrote a while back I thought I would share:
The Answer
The peaceful serenity, The wind blows as the night falls, What is it we search for all our lives? It is with us here, In the moment. Who Are We? We are the miracle and the beauty of life, To be marveled at in every moment. The search blinds us, To what is right in front of us. We are... Amazing, Beautiful, WE ARE. See it, feel it. The tiring search ends, Then peace and serenity surrounds us, As we realize, We already had the answer.

Current mood: thankful
This is something I wanted to write especially for those who have had loss, it is a part of life yet always so hard.
The ones I have lost through my life are: my dad, my mom, my nephew, my grandson, my cousin, my aunt, my grandparents, and my sister in law, I miss them every day and pray for them as well, many of them visit in my dreams but most of all I think about how they touched my life and how my life is changed from their touch. Good or bad we learn from the ones we love and in the end it is all a beautiful thing, never take the ones you love for granted, you never know when it will be your last moment with them, are the little things something you would miss after they are gone? Would you regret the way you acted or regret the time you did not take to let them know they are loved? Always ask those questions, I am thankful for every day I have to express the love where it needs to be.

I came across this in another message board site, and really related to it, I thought I would share it. The Law of Divine Flow. By living in the moment, centering ourselves in love and being in service to others (as opposed to service to self), we live in the law of divine flow. We stay in the moment by moment flowing of our higher self, creating actions which reflect love and allowingness. When we are able to do this, we notice how we say just the right things, do what is best for all, and refrain from doing that which we previously disliked in ourselves or others. We maintain a stronger connection to our God self. The more we do this, the more we are able to do this. To a degree, the deliberate letting go of this flow is the allowing of our spiritual integrity to be compromised. This is a poem I was asked to write after my granson was born stillborn. My daughter knowing I had a gift of writing asked me to write a poem for the "in memory" card presented at the funeral, in general I do not write poetry unless I have some strong urge to do it, but I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, and just wrote what came out. After I finished I started to cry, as I felt is was not truly written by me, but yet a message from Casey to his mom and dad, devastated with this event one week before they were to be married. This is what it said:
Our Angel
I don't understand, When Mom and Dad cried, I was a dream in Dad's heart, I was a sparkle in Mom's eyes.
It's not for long, I promise you this, I forgot to give you, A goodbye kiss.
But you have to understand, As you exchange your rings, I had to go back, I forgot my wings.
This event happened February 7th 2004, which was also another grandsons birthday, but to my daughter and her husband's surprise she again was pregnant a short time later, her due date??? February 7th the following year. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl they named Alexis Irene. photo available in my slide show. Much Love to all. CindySue Siereveld

This is a poem I wrote many years ago.. the words just came to me, and the poem touches me everytime I read it and I am amazed at it's entire meaning. So simple but oh so true.
Journey Of An Angel Written by CindySue Siereveld Copyright 2002
We are but angels on a journey, In A world that carries darkness and struggle, Journey onward, Paths, choices, mountains, Paths given, Choices innevitable, Mountains of fear, See the path with an open heart, Choose only for oneself, Fear not when you know, You will always be safe. Do you see your heart so open, That it may be crushed, Although it opens easily? Embrace that which makes it open, Never fear Pain, If it is equally embraced, Growth is also the result, And beauty is what you will see and feel, Even through the storms.
