Current mood:  jedi
Quick to the back of the bus, fire took the front, through a smokey haze we see the ways this plan of ours could go so wrong. Plot our escape to the interstate a back road puzzle pieces us home.  No souvenirs of the circumstance, just a promise no one would know.

The media called it tragic, the cameras they caught no trace, no license plates, no prints, from finger or foot, just a burnt out chassis of ash and soot. Sullen faces and watery eyes, caused their fans to sympathize. They turned the tables, they sold the crime, we did all the work and never saw a dime.

In the bright black of night, bathed in red hot light, the flames danced like tight jeans on a frontman. Chills down my spine, when my thoughts rewind. Haunts me like carbonite sealing away Han.

Burning wreckage in our past, twisted metal and the fumes of gas, buses torched and airplanes crashed, rock and roll fantasies turned to ash. Blew out the tires on Burton's bus, poured sugar in Skynard's tank, we bought the last round of Scotch for Bon Scott, don't mess with us, we'll fuck you up.

About the band:
After much deliberation, the Albany trio procured their name from the animated cartoon series "The Tick." Ferguson and Nolan Jr. grew up in Ballston Spa and have been playing together for almost a decade.

Artists such as The Unicorns, The Flaming Lips, Matt & Kim, Mathematicians, Harry Pyle and Built to Spill have influenced their electro indie rock music. Fans have compared BEWARE! the Other Head of Science to acts like Atom and His Package and The Unicorns.

In April, BEWARE! the Other Head of Science put out a split with Desperately Obvious titled "Can You Spot the Difference?" The group plans to finish recording their full-length album this spring.

Halloween marks the band's one year anniversary together. To celebrate, BEWARE! the Other Head of Science is playing a 21-and-over show at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at King's Tavern in Saratoga Springs with Eraserheadz and Firefighter Font. Tickets are $5, and costumes are encouraged.

The band's goal is to keep making music and having fun. Additionally, in the future Nolan Jr. would like to grow his record label, Make Your Fate Records.

BEWARE! the Other Head of Science is playing a zombie prom presented by the Albany All Stars Roller Derby team at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Valentine's in Albany with Dr. Jenkins and Back From Japan, Architect Sound System and DJ Danse Magik Danse. Tickets are $10 for humans and $8 for zombies.

Quotable Quotes:
"We usually look pretty ridiculous. We're all really tall, and sometimes we wear coordinating outfits," Ferguson said. "Expect some jokes and a lot of booty shaking."

"I love the camaraderie. It's a lot of fun playing with my friends and doing something productive," Horton said.

"I love seeing people dance like there's an ass in their pants," Nolan Jr. said. "Goofy is the new hot."
