The new record is almost done, Nolan and Chris are finishing them songs up then mixing and mastering. We're going to play a shotload of shows so heads up ! In the meantime here's a bunch of out of tune, out of time drunk recordings from practice before The Centaur Guitar show - new ones, old ones and a cover - enjoy !

So we're hitting the road on Tuesday, headed down to San Francisco, San Diego and other spots in California. Our schedule is posted on our profile, but I'll go ahead and repeat it here. We'll be rocking with our friends in Skuzz, including one of our former guitar players, The Full Lush, at Kimo's in San Francisco on Wednesday, July 30. And from there, we'll be at the Caravan Club in San Jose on July 31, the Metaphor Cafe in Escondido on Friday, Aug. 1 and at the Surf and Saddle in San Diego on Saturday, Aug. 2, for DD's buddy Michael's birthday show. That's going to be a blast.
From San Diego, we'll be heading back north to Santa Rosa and The Black Cat, north of the Bay area, after a day or two off spent surfing, on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The next day we'll be over on the coast in Mendocino at the Caspar Inn playing two full sets for a Wednesday night crowd. Another day off to travel will be followed up with our final two shows back in Oregon. We'll be rocking Player's in Bend on Friday, Aug. 8, and on Saturday, Aug. 9, we'll be back in Eugene for our final show at the Black Forest. I heard there was a stabbing incident there not too long ago, so that should be a fun one for sure, with friends The Dead Americans and Alpha Dalia playing along with us.
I'll post more in the future and I'll make sure everyone hears about the little mini-tour itself, so stay tuned....
Heart,
DD

So, we recorded with Greg Odell at Cat Piss Studio on April 13 and record nine songs in all. We spent more time this week mixing the tracks and getting them more or less ready for mastering. Overall, things went well, and we're looking forward to releasing at least seven of those songs on our upcoming EP due to hit web pages, store shelves, CD Baby and all that probably at the end of June or so. A CD release show is already in the works for the Tonic Lounge, probably on June 27. And for everyone's listening pleasure, I've posted one of the tracks, 'No Excuses,' from the upcoming CD on our profile, so give it a whirl and let us know what you think!

Hey everybody, The Decliners are booked to record with Greg Odell at Cat Piss Studios on April 13. We don’t know yet what the final result will sound like, nor how many songs will be on the final record. But we intend to make it a full-length LP if everything goes according to plan. The record will be overdubbed and mastered throughout April and into May and a tentative CD release is set for the beginning of June, or at least prior to The Decliners summer tour in July and August. This will be our first studio venture since we recorded some demo songs at Tangerine Studios with Screamin’ Steve Hovey last September. It will be our first full-length release since May, 2006, when "Thanks, But No Thanks" came out on Rolling Rack Records. Message us here if you want to hear all about the little details!

From the May 10 2006 Willamette Week
" Political punk need not be the stuff of flag-burning, ranting paranoiacs and Mohican-haired, spike-donning crusties. Portland's own masters of the "thumbs-down"a much more powerful insult than the tired old middle fingerthe Decliners prove that the machine can be duly raged against both with a sense of melody and without tuneless screaming. The quartet's debut, Thanks, But No Thanks, utilizes effect-laden guitars and grim vocal harmonies reminiscent of the Wipers and late-period Gang of Four. DAVE CLIFFORD. Acme Food & Drink. 10 pm. Cover. 21+.- "
