Hello hello,

just a wee word to say that we've started the recording of our debut album in k9 studios with the magnificent Shane 'Mad Dog' Cullen.

It's going well.

Hello,

We were featured on Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio 6 show last friday (27.03.09) as his Unsigned Band of the Week. You can listen to it here for now (although it will probably be gone from there after this coming friday) but the basic gist of it is he rings us up (around the 2 & a quarter hour mark), we have a blather & he gives jamboree a spin.

Big thanks to Mr. Lamacq for featuring us!

Hello All,

We're releasing Jamboree & Shocks as a double A-side single on 7 inch vinyl on the 13th of march 2009 through Any Other City Records. Each copy of the single will come with a unique code that will enable you to download mp3s of both songs along with two extra bonus tracks. It will be available to buy at our gigs, online via our myspace and from the usual decent record stores in dublin & hopefully further afield.

1. Jamboree

2. Shocks

bonus download tracks:
3. Casimir
4. Twenty Years

All of these songs were recorded by Shane Cullen in k9 studios. We should also point out that the lyrics for Twenty Years were written by our good friend & former bassist Ciaran Stanley (story boss!). Also, a big thanks to James at Any Other City for all his work.

To mark the release we'll be playing a launch gig in the Academy 2 on friday the 13th of march with Story of Hair & Disconnect 4. It'll most likely be our last gig for a while so hopefully see you there.

Cheers for now,

Our mini-album Any Port In A Storm is released this friday (25th of April 2008) on Any Other City Records. It contains:

Are We Winners

Gone to Sea

Lights Go Down

Cecil

Whitewash

When We're Leaving

It should be available in most record shops in Ireland (unfortunately not yet in the North though), or if not you can ask your local shop to order it in. Anyone from the North or elsewhere in the world should be able to get it from here: www.anyothercity.com, or else throw us a message here & we'll sort something out.

Thanks to everyone who helped us with this record,

Brian, Darragh, Alan, Frankie.
