I feel I must, having seen it today, note my opinions on the Face of Fashion exhibition at the
National Portrait Gallery, in London (UK). I will warn you now however that they are not positive remarks. I am frankly disappointed by the National Portrait Gallery's allocation of space for the pieces, which were in their scarcity, and the quality of their care. An internationally celebrated event should not be presented in this manner, with apparent transport scratches and unaligned piecing. The exhibition really drew to my attention how rapidly the fashion image is consumed.

On a positive note however I was pleased to say that the selected works were of the expected standard.
Paolo Roversi's work was my personal favourite. Despite their size in relation to other prints they were able to convey emotion to me and I felt invited into a personal relationship with the image, and its subject.
