This town isnt big enough for the both of us. indeed, this is why I am starting a medallist movement towards all things new. Out with the old and in with the new I say. In that spirit, I have posted TWO new songs on a brand new site called ....

Virb
.

The reason I have done this is because we want your feedback, we want comments. We have some gigs coming up and we might play some new ones but we want to see what you think.

Come and Check us out on our Virb site. Everything is shiny and new.
just copy and paste the link and you will go there. Make sure you leave a comment/rant/constructive thought on the new ones. By the way, if your on Twitter then check our new site out.

Hey guys, sorry for
lack of contact between us. We're cooking, its hot in the kitchen, so
far in the giant cooking pot, that we're dancing round, we've thrown in
some new songs, video blogs (vlogs???), Dj mixes, a few new dates in
London and Bristol plus some other tasty things. The
Dinosaurs and Balloons
arent part of the recipe. Its all cooking nicely so it should all be
ready in the next couple of weeks. The thing is that theres no dinner
bell. Your gonna have to keep coming back to see if its ready or not. I
promise it will all taste really nice. Early fruits have produced
the
little video  of Thom and Nick in Manchester which is currently on our
page. Go and see it. If you want to check out dance music that we're
into, go to

myspace.com/medallistdjs

there will be some mixs up soon.
For a more detailed Blog get on this link and ride the interweb to where it goes

Heres a little interview that Mark, Nick and Will did for BBC Bristol last Thursday. It contains some rather rare live versions of your favorite Medallist tunes including Brothers and Sisters, Respond and Communicate. If you like Casio beats, harpsichord solos and a little bit of vocoder in your ear, go and check it out. Use the pop up player to listen...

Thom recently laid out some recommendation for y'all in a blog - so I thought i'd get on board and tell you about the soundtrack of our tour so far - a few big tunes and a few new bands for you to check out - and to make it really easy you can download a little mix with a bit of all these songs by clicking just here...

http://rcpt.yousendit.com/629239587/44238f3be82629cfeef413decda2e3af

So here's some of our musical highlights for November 2008

Ink - misfemme - http://www.myspace.com/misfemme
We met Misfemme at our gig in Derby a few weeks ago and struck up a mutual appreciation of each other's music. "I love these huge bass synths - they snarl like angry rottweilers!" nick

Kids (soulwax mix) - MGMT - www.soulwax.com
We're all pretty big fans of soulwax and MGMT so together it's a brilliant combination. "Probably my favorite dance-floor tune of the autumn so far"

Lovesick - Friendly Fires - www.myspace.com/friendlyfires
"a real dancable tune! The chorus really gets me going. This is the tune that I was listening to on the tour before our Derby gig! ... It must have worked cause I ended up climbing up the speaker stacks!.... If Jacko, stevie wonder, duran duran, william orbit and Paulo mojo all sat down to write a tune... this is what would happen!"Mark

Like you mean it(live) - Medallist - www.myspace.com/medallist (obviously)
For this tour we've added some segues to make our set more like a dj mixing songs together and keeping people dancing. "Successfully negotiating 'Like you mean it' into The Pussycat Dolls into 'ON_OFF' for the first time was one of my tour highlights so far" will. This if from the live ep version.

Any Kind of Pulse - Camp America - www.myspace.com/campamerica
We've known Camp America for years so it was great to finally get to do a gig together recently. This track features Joel Pott from athlete. Also keep an Eye out for a Camp America remix of one of our tunes next year!

The bears are coming - Late of the Pier - www.myspace.com/lateofthepier
"These guys are really interesting are are definitely my favourite Indielecroprog group of 2008! i love the squizzely synth hook!"nick

Fifi go lucky - Misfemme - Another slab of fat bass n beats from Misfemme.
