a été enregistré en ce mois de Mai 2009 par Benjamin Thuau au Studio GAM, perdu dans les Ardennes Belges au milieu des bourdons géants, fricadelles et autres tombes, pies, chevaux et pissenlits. Pas de fantômes.
Une douzaine de morceaux à écouter pour Septembre, au gré des nouveaux coups de pouces que nous espérons rencontrer.

Mardi 20 janvier 2009eliotE & The Ritournelles à Mains d'Oeuvres " En distillant des mélodies aériennes et vagabondes, le trio multi-instrumentiste eliotE & The Ritournelles nous a donné la clé des songes, entrouvert la porte de l'univers des anges et des elfes, un monde
de contes de fées, atemporel, délicat et flottant.
Ils délivrent un son subtil, à la fois enfantin et mature, à la croisée
de la folk lofi, du blues, de la country, du jazz et du rock révélant
des influences qui nous transportent du Grand Ouest américain aux
plaines slaves.
Portée par une savante et ludique association d'instruments (guitares,
maracas, tambours, piano jouet, mélodica, xylophone...) et de choeurs,
Eliote, dont la voix cristalline et gracieuse rappelle conjointement
celles de Feist, Alena Diane et Simone White, chante de délicates et
ravissantes comptines au charme acidulé, au goût délicat des vacances
d'enfance passées sous les cerisiers d'été.
On admire profondément chez EliotE & the Ritournelles le soin
évident porté aux arrangements et notamment aux percussions diverses
exploitées avec intelligence, ce qui les démarque de nombres de groupes
simplement bricoleurs.
Joueuses, leurs mélodies n'en ont pas moins un certain aplomb, une originalité qui sait se poser.
On apprécie aussi qu'ils ne se complaisent pas dans une forme
minimalisme et savent gagner en intensité et en profondeur en
exploitant les voies guitaristiques du blues, notamment.
Avec modestie, gentillesse et sincérité, EliotE & the Ritournelle
impose son univers en suspend, joliment hors du temps et hors mode et
séduit intimement.
Ils seront le 28 janvier à la Péniche Boer avant d'entamer une tournée
à travers la France et l'Est de l'Europe en compagnie de General Bye Bye.
On leur souhaite de rencontrer tout le succès qu'ils méritent!
