My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned
Leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride

If today was your last day,
Tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday..
(would you, Would you)
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you have?
(Would you, Would you)
If today was your last day

(What if, What if, If today was your last day)

Against the grain should be a way of life
What's worth the price is always worth the fight
Every second counts cause there's no second try
So live like you're never living twice
Don't take the free ride in your whole life

(What if, What if)

If today was your last day,
Tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday..
(Would you, Would you)
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you have?

(Would you, Would you)

And would you call old friends you never see..
Reminisce memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?

(Would you, Would you)

And would you find that one your dreaming of,
Swear up and down to God above,
That you'll finally fall in love?
(That you'll finally fall in love)
If today was your last day

If today was your last day,
Would you make your mark,
On mending a broken heart?
You know it's never too late,
To shoot for the stars,
Regardless of who you are.
So do whatever it takes,
Cause you can't rewind
A moment in this life.
Let nothing stand in your way,
Cause the hands of time
Are never on your side

If today was your last day,
Tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you have?
(Would you, Would you)
And would you call old friends you never see..
Reminisce memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
(Would you, Could you)
And would you find that one your dreaming of,
Swear up and down to God above,
That you'll finally fall in love?
(Would you, Would you)
If today was your last day

"Dig"

By Incubus

We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easier to identify.
Look me in the eye
And ask for forgiveness;
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how hard we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other....
When everything
Else is gone.

"Absolutely (Story Of A Girl)"

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

Now how many days in a year
She woke up with hope
But she only found tears
And I can be so insincere
Making her promises never for real
As long as she stands there waiting
Wearing the holes in the soles of her shoes
Now how many days disappear
When you look in the mirror
So how do you choose

Your clothes never wear as well the next day
And your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

Now how many lovers would stay
Just to put up with this shit
Day after day
Now how did we wind up this way
Watching our mouths for the words that we say
As long as we stand here waiting
Wearing the clothes or the soles that we choose
Now how do we get there today
When we're walkin too far for the price of our shoes

Your clothes never wear as well the next day
And your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

[Guitar solo]

Well your clothes never wear as well the next day
And your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her

This is the story of a girl
Her pretty face she hid from the world
And while she looks so sad and lonely there
I absolutely love her

This is the story of a - girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles
When she smi-iles!

LOST SLEEP

this is a poem i wrote about a little girl i read about that was in the hollicost.

This evening I walked along the street of death

A new child comes to him

Deserted here, the old house stands in silence

It was once so nice.

I look, I look into the wide world

I look toward my home.

Cut off from the world thats free.

Death, after all, claims everyone.

In the flame of candles by my bed, I finaly sleep.
