For Your Eyes

Simply curling one's lashes ads visual brightness. Having eyebrows professionally shaped is the best frame for the eyes, also shaping them can visually knock off a few years...don't believe it? Have one eyebrow done and look in the mirror, this WILL convince you.

Almost everyone needs a concealer under their eyes. Use ONLY where needed, not all over.  Also, dusting a little light shimmery shadow in the inner corner of the eyes brightens them perfectly.

Invest in mascara, find one you love and be sure to change it every 60 to 90 days.  Refills are no longer made for mascara, for the simple reason...eye infections. If you have trouble with black rings from wearing mascara on lower lashes, use clear mascara instead. Just like when your hair is wet it looks darker, using clear on the lower lashes is effective enough and......no black dots.

The right blush is a must, this simple application works wonders, find one that suits your complexion and WOW!  Dust a bit across your eyes and the look is perfectly fresh.

Bronzers are the perfect answer for the sun kissed look.  Brush applications are best.  You have the control to apply them just where the sun would kiss you on the cheeks, tip of nose, forehead and a touch on the chin.

Foundations are indeed worth the time and effort spent finding the perfect one for your skin type. Whether you choose a tint moisturizer or full on coverage, the word foundation speaks for itself, upon applying your foundation you are preparing an organic canvas for your makeup art for the day.

For the sheerest application, use a damp sponge, light medium application a foundation brush (my favorite), for more coverage use your finger tips, then smooth with a regular foundation sponge.

1. You can use a highlighter to brighten your makeup. A highlighter concealer covers critical areas such as shadows and lines resulting in a natural glow. Apply directly over blusher, mix with blusher, or use just above blusher and around the eyes. Also use under the eyebrows and a touch down the nose. This will significantly brighten the face. After the finish make-up use to cover circles under the eyes, sides of nose, corners of lips and hallows of the chin etc. Blend lightly with your fingertips and brush with powder. The Highlighter can also be applied first, let dry and then apply your normal make-up. For full eyes, use the Highlighter as an eye shadow by applying to the upper end of the eyelid.

2. The most important makeup products that should be used daily are concealer, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and lip color. Concealer will make you look less tired. Eyebrow color will give your eyes more character. Remember, you do raise your brows when you are surprised. Mascara will make your eyes appear larger than they are and more open. Lastly, lipcolor accentuates a lovely smile. Now you´re ready to greet the world.

3. A fresh and natural look in makeup would be wearing a tinted moisturizing cream, a light blush or bronzer for your cheeks, a light coating of mascara and lipgloss. Let your natural beauty show through!

------------------------------

4. Makeup Trick For Red Eyes Try cool cotton compresses with an alcohol free toner. Cucumber slices may be beneficial if you want to try a more natural method. Now for the makeup. Use a minimal amount. Play up your lips instead. Apply a neutral color eyeshadow. If you must wear mascara, opt for a waterproof type, in black or black brown. Skip the colored ones except for navy, which would whiten the whites of your eyes. Try a bright blue pencil below your lower lashes. This should do the trick.

------------------------------

5. "Pretty and sexy" comes from within as well as how you wear your makeup. Wear a minimal amount of makeup, i.e. blush, lipcolor, and mascara. Smile, have a friendly attitude, and you will glow..

------------------------------

6. For someone with copper colored hair, warm earth tones are best. For the eyes wear a bronze or gold eyeshadow with a teak eyeliner. Lipstick in a rust with a gold accent is very pretty.

------------------------------

7. For minor mishaps...Did you smear your mascara? Is your blusher or eyeshadow too dark or the wrong color? For a quick and easy spot removal, use a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover. It´s easy to get into a small area without having to start all over and it works great!

------------------------------

8. Benefits of Loose Powder To get a fresh-faced look with face powder, applying moisturizer then a concealer to lightly cover discoloration. Apply a neutral eye shadow and light coat of mascara. Blend a soft bronzer or neutral blush on your cheeks. Apply a light coat of loose powder. Finish with dewy lip gloss. Loose powder has many benefits compared to heavier pressed powder. Very light, loose powder will not seep into your pores as easily. Loose powder covers more evenly and creates a professional look. Loose powder can be used both day and night. You can apply loose powder several times without it looking caked on.

9. Cosmetics have "gone bad" if they smell funny or if the formula has separated or dried out. Be especially careful with products used near the eyes as this is a sensitive area. If you suddenly react to a product that you have used faithfully, there may be bacteria forming, and therefore you have a reaction.

------------------------------

10. Beauty consultants help customers choose cosmetics and show them how to use them. Beauty consultants should: be good at selling, be helpful, friendly and polite have some artistic ability and a gentle touch for applying make-up and giving and or discuss facials with their clients.

Evening makeup: 3 instantly gorgeous makeup tips for just about any occasion.

Dark Lips

Bright red, deep wine, and even purple – nothing's more glamorous. The key is finding the right shade (prepare to experiment) and texture: the shearer the formula, the more wearable it is.

Trace a red pencil around and all over the lips so the shape is perfect.
Apply a velvety-matte red lipstick.

Clear, beige, or pink gloss layered on top of the stained-red lips is beautiful and softens harsh overtones. Opaque red lip gloss however, is harder to pull off.

Smokey Eyes

Vivid, matte eye color is dramatic, sexy and easier to do than you'd think. It works best in small doses, paired with a subtler, paler lip.

lip plumper Start on the top lid (too much underneath drags the eye down)
lip plumper Using a soft eye pencil or shadow, cover the entire lid – moving from lashes to crease. The color should get progressively lighter: The darkest part should be at the lashline; the faintest part at the crease.
lip plumper Trace the color in a round shape (outline the entire eye) or elongate it by drawing past the outer corner.
lip plumper Blend the edges so they're smudgy all the way around.
lip plumper Set with translucent powder.
lip plumper If necessary, add smoke along the lower lashes. Use a light hand; you can always add more.

If your eyes are brown play with dark violet, navy blue, black or chocolate tones. Green or hazel eggplant, copper red, purple, and mauve shades make eyes look greener and brighter. Deep teal can be great too. Blue, blues, gray-mauves, and violets are especially good.

Shimmer

This focuses all the attention on your skin, so just as you let major eyes or lips stand alone, keep the rest of your makeup subtle so the pretty sheen speaks for itself.

lip plumper
lip plumper If you have great cheekbones and beautiful skin, a sheer gleam is gorgeous on the tops of the cheek and brow-bones; around your tear ducts; or on the bow of the lips.
lip plumper If you put pearly highlighter on your eyes and cheeks, then keep your lips shimmer free.
lip plumper Trace the color in a round shape (outline the entire eye) or elongate it by drawing past the outer corner.
lip plumper Dust powder on areas you don't want to get shiny: the bridge of the nose, the chin, around the nostrils, and between the brows.
lip plumper Or tuck a sachet of blotting papers into your evening bag for touch-ups.
