So we played a show at Timbers last night in Gunnison....Being out of town on your own is incredibly stressful. We had a few sound problems and the night was a little rough (till the end) and our spirits we're down not being able to do our full show...people still danced and loved it (awesome). Then after the show we went to the local Love's gas station and met a very nice lady who's husband had just cashed his last pay check after being fired.  He had left his wallet with over a grand in cash on their truck and managed to forget about it before driving off...this had happened earlier and the guy's wife was back at the gas station asking if anyone had turned in a wallet. Of course the answer was no, and so discouraged she went outside to comb the streets.

We pulled out of the gas station and up to her while she was in the street and asked which direction they were heading. I promised we'd keep an eye out as we drove a long the road and if we found it we would bring it back to the gas station (they had her phone ). As we're talking I went inside my head and asked "Jah please let us help this couple tonight."

So we part ways and head down the road...then all of a sudden Beau and I see this dark leather wallet sitting in the road that matched the description she gave us....like it would be anyone elses! So we quickly grabbed it and headed back to the gas station. (i'm assuming it fell off the truck)

We pull up and the lady is still there...very frustrated. And we stolled up and said something to the extent of, "Still lookin for that wallet?" (we had just talked to her like 3 minutes ago) and then we showed it to her. SHE WAS EXSTATIC! So exstatic that she gave us $200 in cash...freely. And with that, it turned into a pretty profitable night! And I found myself saying "Thanks" to Jah for letting us turn a frustrating night around...we helped out someone in need...and in return they helped us out with expenses on the road. AWESOME

So...thank you mystery couple....you should probably buy your husband a wallet chainn just to give him a hard time. And don't ever forget that Jah works in really odd ways...but its always better than what You had planned.

ONE LOVE
phlip

p.s. - thanks Court for your love and support. You helped us start to turn the night around.

OK! we did it. Thanks to the BADASS venue owners of CO we managed to pick up enough shows to survive this tour and maybe come out on top...I always had a feeling about this state! . Must be in the air. (Jah Bless Herb)

So things are looking up and this month will turn out to be awesome.  If you work at a venue in CO that helped us out (in any way) much thanks and respect to you! We'll see everyone soon, and remember...ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH.

Jah blessings upon you,

So WOW! This tour we started turned out to be CRAZY....This has been an expensive lesson in letting people handle your business. We've taken some quite HUGE losses on this little endeavor...mainly b/c our booking guy wasn't on the same page as us apparently...SO...now we handle everything with this little business...and i must say...ALL FOR THE BETTER.

It's been hard realizing that nobody is going to work as hard as you will for your music, and we've learned that i think. We had to cancel so many dates...or rather...had them cancelled on us, and now we are scrounging through the rest of the month pulling what we can where we can. FINANCIALLY STRESSFUL AS ALL HELL...but luckily we met some BADASS guys in Rawlins, WY that have offered nothing but positive energy, and support. From letting us crash in their (soon to be rediculously awesome) basement...to feeding us...to smokin us out. PROPS my Brothas (Anders, Jake, Wayne)! They've help keep our spirits calm. Hopefully we'll be able to pick stuff up in CO and make enough cash to get by and get home. But its hard to book at the last minute....important to keep the faith right?

The COOL thing is we've had amazing response everywhere we've played, and the owner of the Murray in Livingston took time out of his day to show his appreciation for us playing there. He had five people come up to him personally after the first night to thank him for having us play and for putting in a band that is so different. We did a cool version of Lay Your Head on the second night...and after the song was done...i dont think i've ever heard a crowd shout LIKE THAT for the song...AWESOME ENERGY.  WHO KNEW? FIELDSIDE CAN ROCK OUT A HONKY TONK BAR LIKE NOTHIN!

Thanks for all the support from our fans back home. We're pickin ourselves up, regrouping, and takin it out agian soon for sure....think the country will be ready? And it just goes to show you...keep the faith in yourself, persevere, and nothing can stop you. Much Love and Respect to all our fans. We'll see ya soon!

peace and blessings,
