R.I.P HOMEGIRL

Yesterday i found out that a homegirl of mine was in a coma, on life support

after suffering a Brain Haemorrhage!!!! what?? i was in shock...

on her facebook the comments were pouring in all day...her friends worldwide we were all in shock!

Her mother was updating us regularly on her condidition. i can not think of

anything more painful for a mother to go through. GOD Bless her!!!!

Well....

a few hours ago i found out the angels decided to take her away...too early !!

They say the good ones die early? well she was better then good.... she was extraordinary!!!!!

And today a lot of us are crying.

After receiving the news yesterday, to try to deal with it...I wrote a song about her...it was filled with hope...

i was on my way to the studio today to record it, and then i heard she had already left us!!!! = (

here are a few lines from the song:

i was crying while writing it..and i'm crying now....

BRAINSTORMING!

Sooo....

I'm in the studio about to lay down a track for french super producer Miss ill !!

I always wanted to get a beat from her...she is so fucking dope!!

anyways she hit me up the other day to ask me if i wanted to be on her new album.
i didn't blink an eyelid...it was was YES!!

When she sent the beat thru...i felt so inspired by it, that i had to lay
something down straaaaight away...just one take... just to show her... i wanted
to improvise on it, play with my effects machine...and see what what my initial
reaction to the song was. cause i believe every song has a story, and it's the writers job
to extract and define it....but i couldn't find my cubase key (to start the music programs
in the studio) so i just recorded it on the mac camera instead. hahaha

Well i sent it to her..and she really digged it, so i thought hey why not upload it for yall?
remember...it's me... just me messing about....brainstorming on a beat...hope yall dig it = )

Also some funny info... i got my tongue in a twist at the end..so i just kept repeating
myself...but i ended up liking the effect of it...and used it on the actual song i recorded...
funny how things come together huh?

Check it...so as it turns out i actually got quite a few tracks on itunes...
well my whole "GOOD GIRLS RARELY MAKE HISTORY" CD
is on there in fact....

for some reason i got mad self conscious and didn't want yall to have it

so i stopped promoting it (i do it all myself) after the actual hard copies

of the CD sold out!

yeah i know weird!!

but someone smacked some sense into me...and i just wanna
tell yall that YOU CAN NOW get my music on iTUNES!!

and the rest is magic!!

i'm gobsmacked at how well it sold, being my first solo release,

on my own label and all...with no distribution or anything!!

WTF????

Now i cant even upload my own songs!!! Check this bullshit...

and the worst part... everytime i try to file a complain?

HHK 2009

Hey guys...

I just wanted to officially let you know that i'm not attending Hip Hop Kemp this year.

I thought i might as well post it on here as i can't reply to everyone who

keeps asking me on myspace, facebook, and email...etc if i'm coming or not!

You might've realized it already...

But i still I wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making my every HHK

experience an amazing memorable one. The love you've shared and support you've shown

me through out the years has been out of this world!! You've been truly amazing! Especially

last year, for my first ever stage, the UNITY stage. This was a dream come true for me, and i

appreciate the loyalty and love u showed me!! HHK was for me, the highlight of the year, I

even renamed it Hip Hop Heaven and i felt like every time HHK grew, i grew with it...so of

course i'm sad to announce that it might've been my last year.

It's a shame

i know...

but please note that it was not my choice...

and I take comfort in the fact that i have a life time worth of

memories, which i will always hold dear

I met Juice about 10 years ago, on my first ever trip to London, i was young & innocent back then haha...but yes i met him and his whole crew New Flesh For Old, around the same time i met Vadim, Roots Manuva, Killa Kela, Ty, Task Force, Skinny man etc...and fell in love with his energy. I remember sitting backstage at a show, rapping this poor guys ear off...endlessly talking about hip hop. he thought i was funny, and somehow warmed to me. Years passed and our paths kept crossing, as my profile grew. And now he invited that young girl from back then, to rock alongside him as he launches his solo record!! Obviously i said YES!!
