We've finally decided to give up on the grizzly bare/bear thing and have changed our name to hand made hands.  Find us in our top friends.  There are no tunes as of yet on the hand made hands site cause I'm saving it until we've finished recording the new stuff.

Somebody has finally done a review of us......

We've only been playing for two years.

It goes a little something like this

The themes for this evening are brilliance and frustration. Opening tonight's Wignap Records showcase are Leeds' Grizzly Bare, who trade in a combination of pretty pop songs and loopy lo-fi. At intervals, they manage (through clever use of loop pedals) to make a three piece band create Super Furry-esque walls of sound, which is utterly amazing. Sadly the set feels a little padded out with some less impressive, ditzy Fender Rhodes numbers which veer a little too close to the unacceptable end of pop. When they're good, they're very good. When they're bad, they're the Hoosiers. Brilliance and frustration.

Hello all,

As you may have noticed we've been getting busy with some new recordings. Why let a total lack of funds or access to a studio stop you I say. I'm gonna keep recording a load of bits and sticking up as I do it, they're all just ideas, don't be offended please.

Got a steady stream of gigs coming up, would be nice to see you but don't feel pressured. Gonna be a good night on the 22nd of November if you're free, playing with a band called Ult Cult who are brilliant, check em out in our friends. We've also got Graham Hall playing again who regulars to our nights will know is flipping amazing.

Oh, and also we changed our name to The Grizzly Bare Band, just got fed up of having the Grizzly Bare/Grizzly Bear conversation really (if anyone missed that conversation, come and grab me at a gig some time and we can go through it). I imagine The 'The' and 'Band' are probably all that is needed to make us a far better band, let's see shall we.

It's been a while since I wrote a blog, the new improved and highly motivated Fletch will attempt to get on this more often.

I just wanna rock......

We've not been playing around much recently and I'm trying to put a bunch of gigs together for the next few months. We've got an ugly naked night up at the Library in Leeds booked for the 26th of July and we want to get some other stuff going. If you've got any suggestions of places to play give us a shout.

Bad news I'm afraid folks,

Andy out of Dodgy has chipped his wrist falling out of bed so the tour has been pushed back into the new year.  On the bright side, it gives us time to try and learn how to play instruments and sing, could be interesting!

All tickets will be valid for the new date.
