Just wanted to let everyone know about a few recent happenings with the Panta Rhei Project.

  1. Make a Difference Day.

Panta Rhei participated in the Freelance Star Sponsored Make a difference day. We created an art installation of 650 coat hangers representing the 650 homeless people in Fredericksburg and collected coats to fill the coat hangers. The collected coats are to be donated to the Thurman Brisbane Center in Fredericksburg.

  2. WetPaint 2007.

We, Panta Rhei, are a project of the non-profit, the Fredericksburg Athenaeum. The Athenaeum had their 2nd annual Wet Paint fundraiser in October. The idea behind wet paint is that local artist create fresh work the weekend of the event and then they donate the fresh artwork and then they are sold at a slient auction. The proceeds went to the Athenaeum.

So, in true spirit of the event, hosted a lockin to create artwork for the event. A bunch of us decorated a table to sell...and it sold! It was a fun time.

  3. Ian spoke at Mountain View HS:

I spoke at Mountain View HS today to talk about Panta Rhei and about being a working artist. It was fun. I met some new people who will hopefully get involved in Panta Rhei. Thanks for the invite Rachel!

  4. There will be more Panta Rhei things coming up soon. Keep checking back with us.
