Tonight is no ordinary show. PechaKucha Night
brings prominent and emerging creative minds together for an evening of
lightning-fast presentations, networking and fun. The PechaKucha
format, where a dozen or so presenters are given 20 slides each shown
for 20 seconds to reveal their passions, work and inspirations, is now
held in over 190 cities around the world. Chicago events are among the
most popular, with over 250 people in attendance at each event. Now a staple on the Chicago creative calendar, PechaKucha Night has
made its home at Martyrs' club on the city's North Lincoln Avenue. All Things Lucid has been asked to be the first band to present for the Chicago event. We'll be breaking down our process of writing a song as individuals, and as a band. After all the presentations we'll be doing an encore set to kick off our great June schedule. We recommend either getting tickets in advance or arriving early as the event normally sells out. 8:00PM $10

We need you this summer because it just got hot and you keep us cool. It all starts June 2nd. On that date we will be performing in Pecha Kucha Night at the very cool Martyrs' in Chicago. We are one of the presenters along with other passionate artists ranging from graphic designers to gardeners. Our presentation will let you in on the secret method of our song writing and then you can hear the songs for yourself when we play a set at the end of the night.
Also, we shot a short film this past winter and we'll be pre-releasing it/giving it away at Pecha Kucha Night. You won't have another chance to score the film until the new album comes out. Which brings me to the next point:
The new album is done and in the mastering/pressing phase! We've released two unmastered tracks on our myspace. Let It Begin and Antibiotics. Make sure to check them out!
Lasty, June 13th we will be playing The Empty Bottle and to top off the awesome month, we will be playing Schubas on June 30th!
OK, let's re-cap:
-Listen to some new tracks from the upcoming album here
-Come to Pecha Kucha on June 2nd, check out our presentation, and get an early release of our new short film
-Rock with us at the Empty Bottle on Saturday June 13th
Slide on over to Schubas on June 30th for a monumental Tuesday night
Lets pour champagne on this summer!

All Things Lucid ------------------------------------------------------------------ THE WEEK : Kostal & Paste : The Monk Whistles : Lucid In The Kitchen ------------------------------------------------------------------ We here at Kilo Records understand that this past winter in Chicago was, well long, brutal, frigid, and just straight up cold. THE WEEK shall be spiced, sliced, and diced up with design, music, and enough dancing room to go around. We have been feverishly and intensely working out the final bits and parts to our next LP (which means Long Play, which was oddly enough Jeff's nickname in college). We are extremely excited for you to hear this album. I mean look at our nipples. Definitely excited! You will be in for a treat with this album. It will be released on vinyl but along with the vinyl purchase you will get a CD of the album; Not to mention a short video featuring All Things Lucid and some great art work for your visual pleasure too! We have some exciting shows lining up for the spring and summer (dates to be released soon). These dates include shows at Schubas, Empty Bottle, Kryptonite and EP Theater to name a few, and we are playing a last minute performance at Quenchers on March 5th with a very cool band out of Austin, TX called The Frontier Brothers. Here is a current personal insight into the members of All Things Lucid:Miles-He is currently getting shorter and trying to change his name to Serial Number 73526578 Kostal-He is currently thinking of something and mastering the fine art of Sleeping. Jeff-He is currently building mass and gazing upon his two second runner up Paper Boy awards. Paul-He is currently.....well we can't really say. See you at the next show! All Things Lucid
