So the day was like any other, I was in Nashville TN staying at my old friend Michael Hearne's house. I had an evening to myself and I had been writing everyday so I felt like taking a break. I sat down and turned on the TV, the first thing that came on was the Disney Classic "Aladdin".. I ended up watching the entire movie from start to finish. We all now that feeling we get after watching a Disney movie or any heart warming family flick.. Those stories can take you back to the way we felt when we were kids. (At least for a few minutes.) When the movie was over I had that "feeling" in me and I picked up the guitar. I played a real simple progression. I - III - IV - V and I proceeded to write and sing the story of Aladdin. If you pay attention to the lyrics with that in mind you'll realize that every line goes hand in hand with the story.
Sometimes its funny the way things happen. I hope you enjoy the song and my story on how it came to be. Cheers -Maximilian

Hi everybody, Just writing to let you all know that I'm in Nashville and have been for about three weeks now. I came here from LA to write songs with some great songwriters. First off I wrote a couple of tunes with Shawn Mullins. One really great song called "Babylon Blues" and another called "Love Will Find a Way" I think both tunes are really good and I hope you'll get a chance to hear them sooner than later. Also I've been writing some with a gal named Erin Enderlin. The lyrics that come out of Erin are perfect. She's a modern storyteller with a classic touch. I've got about ten songs done since I've been here and written with about seven of Nashville's best. This town has been nothing but great to me. You can't walk into Universal in LA without a security pass let alone have someone offer you a drink. Call out the instigator, because there's something in the air. -Be on the lookout for some great songs coming up Max
