...tip top times at last weekend's Chigae party has got me rather giddy about the last couple of events of 2008: First up is this Saturday at Bar Bungalow [Itaewon]: a Mass Healing Session will be taking place. Come and soak it up. Dr. Udo Lee and yours truly shall be transporting you to higher grounds. 10pm - until our work is complete^^.   December 27th - the last We Love Techno of 2008 @Joker Red. If the last one is anything to go by this should be special.  Happy to see Seoul's new rising dj star on the line up [hehe...no pressure Bada^^].  And welcome aboard Richard Mayne :-).  Come and have some - rude not to!^^ A very Merry Christmas chumsters XO   P.S. **New bar in Itaewon called 'Berlin'** (used to be Ape with Pipe restaurant). Good wine, djs and atmosphere - a chill or dance kind of vibe, me likes!

The Assah Disco troop ready for their next night of monkey business: Saturday 8th November.

As we're sure many participants of our last experiment (and the LCD Soundsystem & Lovefingers gigs) will testify, slower tempos, deeper sounds and even the return of the good old 'song' (), has created some new energy on Seoul's dance floors of late.  Lapped up by some, baffling the hell out of others.  Balearic, disco, house, boogie and a good dollop of cheekiness; no self-respecting monkey would be complete without it - come get some!^^
최근 다수의 흥미로운 국제적인 디스코 디제이들이 우리나라를 방문하였고 이에 아싸 디스코는 다음 파티를 위해 더욱 들떠있다. 아싸디스코는 SLOWER TEMPOS, DEEPER SOUNDS와 단순한 일렉트로닉의 비트만이 아닌 보컬적이고 리드믹한 악기의 사운드가 있는 말그대로 우리의 몸을 들썩거리게하는 뉴 디스코 음악을 선보이며 이를 통해 서울의 춤판에 신선하고 활기있는 에너지를 발산 시킬것이라 본다. 그리고 지난 아싸 디스코 파티에 다녀간 사람들이나 LCD SOUND SYSTEM과 LOVEFINGERS 파티에 참석한 이들 또한 우리의 생각에 고개를 끄덕이리라 믿는다.^^어떤이들은 우리의 파티에 열광할 것이고 어떤이들은 어리둥절해 할 수 있으나 아싸 디스코의 음악이 그들의 손가락을 허공에 찌르며 춤추게 만드리라 기대한다. 발레릭,디스코 하우스,부기 게다가 아싸 디스코만의 유쾌한 건방짐을 우리의 파티에서 느껴보자

Come and celebrate with us!!

It doesn't seem like a year since Miss Analog started up the techno nights at Joker Red. There was no techno! At least not of the slower tempos we enjoy, and nothing regular. Many good times have been had and some great local talent has been discovered. Much thanks to her and the people at Joker Red for making this happen.


As it's a special party, they have guest DJ Nico Reno from France playing.

Entry includes a free drink. Get there before 12 and you get some free champers too.

The Steffi mix has been getting me rather excited for the weekend.
Her selections fit so perfectly with the music I have been feeling these days - a warm return to the sorts of house and techno that turned me on a good wee while ago...nutritious, delicious and timeless.

Happy to be warming up this time, particularly when I'm setting it up for four like-minded music loving techno souls; Bada, Udo, Analog and H Man.

Also excited to finally get the the opportunity to hear Korean DJ and producer: Unjin.

Something good this way comes....I do reckon.

Tucked down a little alleyway, on the hill at the beginning of Itaewon street (nr Noksapyeong station), lies something fabulous yet still quite undiscovered by most Seoulites who appreciate a good bit of scran: Ape with Pipe.

Ape with Pipe is for fine dining - and great for Sunday afternoon hangovers...

...I'll also be there on Saturday with my good mate Annamazoo (the lady behind the We Love Techno parties in Seoul) to play some chilled music, sip on sangrias and nibble on tapas while the sun sets on the patio...sound heavenly?  Join us!
