...is here :)-
After a few days of lying in the pools sunbathing I shall be returning to playing my ass off as usual with Á móti sól and my few other pet projects.
The work on the 8th AMS album is coming along nicely and I..ve also been working on some stuff of my own, although I seem to be to happy to write rock and roll... hehe
For the Icelanders reading - Put the last weekend of July aside for the 5th annual Bræðslan music festival :) -
Look me up on Facebook for some more info on whats going on.

If anyone is interested in purchasing the A moti sol catalog ( thats my Icelandic band ) the link to the Icelandic music store is:
http://www.tonlist.is/Music/ViewAlbums.aspx?AuthorID=2946
For a taste I..d recommend "A moti sol i 10 ar" - that..s a best of :)-
..To put the site in English scroll all the way to the bottom and click the English link.
It's in Icelandic money so 899-1299 kr per album is a bargain now...that's US$7.50-$10.83. Or by the song, 99 and 149 kr=83 cents and $1.25. Go get 'em.

Hello guys and gals.
In news of the world the top story is probably the fact that the financial markets are all going to hell and in Iceland for instance all the big banks have been saved by the government. You might have seen all that..s going on over here in the papers in the US and the UK. Not exactly the publicity we were looking for but well take it - All press is good press ;)-
I just wanted to give you guys oversees an idea...
The dollar has never been stronger when it comes to our currency - the krona - so hows about getting on a plain and doing your X-mas shopping over here and maybe catching a gig or two while your at it :)-
In news of me - I just had a little simple surgery that i..m "recovering" from so I..m not singing for a few weeks but Á móti sól is releasing a new single in a couple of days that i..ll put in here for your pleasure :)
Anyway - the best things in life are free - love each other!

Current mood: calm
If you are that one person that keeps track I just want to let you know that I..m not dead - I..m just really lazy updating during the summer :)-
I just got back to the land of ice after a brilliant little vacation / gig - trip - Stayed in NYC for 5 days and I do think it..s one of the nicest places out there. We saw every inch of MAnhattan! - then I joined the rest of Á móti sól and flew to Amsterdam, drove to Hamburg for a gig - drove to Kobenhagen and the back to the studio in Reykjavik... Sometimes it is fun to be me :)- Anyway - just wanted to say hello :)-
Take care - Magni

Hello all you pretty people. The Brædslan concert was last saturday and this year it became something out of this world. The weather was amazing, the people all in a good mood and the artists just made you want to hug somebody. As one of the guys in charge of all that went on I was so relived when it was over - almost 3000 people visited my hometown ( pop.140) and nothing bad happend! but the bigger part of me never wanted it to end... After the concert me and two af my cousins sat down on a small hill next to the main road at 1.am and started playing guitars - a few minutes later there were around 250 people sitting there with us. Damien stopped by and played Halleluja and the last song was played at 9:30 the following morning - I was long gone to bed by then... check out Borgarfjordur... for some pics... or listen audioanyway - Thank to all that made it happen...

I just want to thank the girls that were at the show last night for putting up these vids - of course they had to put up the one song I sang in a wife beater as a joke for the band - I..m never doing that again btw. :)- I had the most fun ever doing that show and all the people on stage were amazing! The 600+ people in the audience were amazing as well - The applause just kept going and going after the quire sang Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie is now my idol - The show must go on... Magni Mercury

Like some of you might know I come from a tiny place in Iceland called Borgarfjordur Eystri - pop. 140... What you might not know is that for the last 3 years on the last weekend of July we have had some of the most amazing concerts there in a old rundown fishing plant. Amongst the artists to perform there are Emiliana Torrini, Belle and Sebastian and well - Me... This year i..m stepping up and organizing it along with my brothers and friends and well - We just made my dream come true - Im opening for Damien Rice and Emiliana Torrini!!!! Both artists have been on my favorite list for years and after seeing Damien live I think I can honestly say that boy is at least one in a million!!! In other news - I..m going to Denmark - yet again - to play I Aarhus Later Magni
