YAY!!!

A few months back we went into Woolly Mammoth Studios with engineer Dave Westner and our former bassist, Chris Mascara, to lay down tracks for an album. We are very pleased to say that we are very, very close to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on this project...So, for your listening pleasure we have uploaded the new versions of the three songs from our FROM BEHIND - EP, "Maybe You Can Breather Underwater, Tracy," "From Behind," "A Little Too Much." (And If you have yet to check out, "Vows for Bo Barringer" Jen's Vows to Bo on their wedding at the Abbey Lounge last month, well, it's there for you to check out.) While we realize that the superior performances and sound quality of these new version may, in effect, render the EP versions obsolete, this could very well increase the value of the EP as a collector's item. So come to TT's this Wednesday night(7/9) to get your copies while supplies last. We are playing with a fantastic new(to the U.S.) band from Norway called Sissy Wish. check 'em out. http://www.myspace.com/sissywish

Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel

So, we're married now! We want to thank all of you that came out to see our wedding last friday night at the wonderful Abbey Lounge...It was a lovely affair.  And so many lovely ladies in attendance!  Our lips were chapped from kissing so many of you!  We'd like to extend the thanks to Sun Lee Sunbeam and congratulations to them for the release of their new CD!!! Fine sets were played by Mercy James Gang and Ladies and Gentlemen as well...many polaroids were taken.  We plan to get them scanned and uploaded as soon as we can...The ceremony was performed(does the minister "perform?" "conduct?"  "direct?" "produce?" I don't know...) by our very own bassist, Reverend Jim Collins.  Our good friend Chris Mascara (reluctantly and with shotgun in hand...) gave away the bride...Our drummer Jason Marchionna handled the organ chores(in addition to the piano parts on our own rendition of Motley Crue's quintessential wedding power ballad, "Home Sweet Home"), Jen, in addition to rocking the shit out of a white tux, wrote her vows and set them to music. (See previous blog entry for lyrics...) Bo, well, Bo wore the dress. (I'm a tiny bit unsettled by the amount of guys that told me I was a beautiful bride...)  So where to go now?  A lifetime of matrimonial bliss?  Children?  Divorce?  Remarriage?  WE could use some advice.  Since getting back from her short honeymoon, Joan has been finding life a little dull.  We could use your suggestions...in the meantime she will be readying herself for the stage once again when we play THE PILL, the Brit/mod/indie dance night that takes place once a week at Great Scott in Allston.

As fate would have it
I'd fall in love with a man
Not that I want to fuck him
Or do him with my hands

He's the stud of Central Square
A real ladies man
He knows about style
And how to sing in a band

We can chase women
We can write a song
We can shop for each other
And drink all night long

And when I need a dance partner
He's always on
He burns up the floor
Like spilled whiskey and bombs

Sometimes I wear his clothes
And call him when I'm sad
Sometimes I buy him dresses
Or tell him when I'm bad

Tonight we're gettin' married
And even if it's for the stage
He's fucking awesome
I'm happy we were engaged

Thank you Bo Barringer
Thank you Bo Barringer
Thank you Bo Barringer
You were a beautiful bride!
