Allright! So Adrian already told you some of it so I will tell my version of the night and try not to repeat everything that she said!

So the night begins by Adrian picking up Heidi and I from our new house. Adrian and I had already shed a few tears seperately... due to the overstimulation of knowing that we were going to be seeing our heroes perform for the first time EVER! I am pretty sure that Mandy is the only one of the Belles that had ever seen them live before. Mandy actually had got to meet them the last time that AC/DC came through town on the Stiff Upper Lip tour with the previous line up for the Belles.

Besides getting to see them live for the first time we knew we would be MEETING our idols in just a few hours. We headed over to Julianne's house because that is where the PARTY BUS was picking us up! THANK YOU BRIAN VALENTINE! He was our knight in shining armor. We all piled on the bus with about 20 other people. There were coolers FULL of beer, booze, and food! We drank all the way to Tacoma... hoping that a little liquid courage would perhaps sooth our nerves. We were so excited! Everyone had the BIGGEST smiles on their faces!

We get to the Tacoma Dome and we ( the Belles) left the party  bus to go and meet our friend WADE. Now WADE was the man that made things happen. He met us out front with our BACKSTAGE PASSES! He told us that when we heard the cannons going off during FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK, that we should all gather together in preparation for going to meet the fellas.

The show was unbelievable and the lines for beer were even more unbelievable. It was everything that I ever thought it might be and more. They sounded perfect. They sounded like they did 15 yrs ago. All of them were on point and still had the same energy they always have had! It was such an inspiration to watch them LIVE. Not a dvd or video or  you tube clip. LIVE. It moved my soul. At times I felt like I was in study hall. Watching every move that Brain made and studying his antics with the crowd. Studying everything and figuring out how I can apply it to myself with the Belles. I had to slow my brain down and just stop and absorb. EFFING AWESOME.

After the show we all met up by the exit that they were continually trying to escort us out of... I think we had to point to our passes like 15 times and listen to the miscommunication of the security while tryting to follow their directions.... which were all different... heh heh

FINALLY IT WAS TIME

We were escorted up to a meeting room. It was small with some chairs and a table with beverages, wine, chips, and pretzels. There were about 10 other people there with us, including a big name producer (his name escapes me.. one of the other girls will have to fill it in) and Alan White's wife ( drummer of YES). We were all kind of standing around just waiting for the band.

IN WALKS BRIAN JOHNSON

He makes his rounds talking with the people he already knows and taking pictures and stuff. Then he looks over at us and was like "OH HELLO MY LITTLE HELL'S BELLES!" He came over and gave us all a hug and kiss on the cheek. We got to sit and talk with him for over 15 mn, maybe even 20. He said that he has been hearing about us all over the world and that it is always great reviews~ He said that his fans tell him that the Belles are the best tribute band to AC/DC that ever was. He asked us if there was a time down the road that we could meet up with them so that " him and the boys" could come out to a show and he would get up on stage with us and we would sing a duet! WHAT THE HELL?!!!!!!  He just looked at me and was like... " you wanna sing a duet? That would be brilliant cause it has never been done before! Could you imagine what Back in Black would sound like? Get ahold of my guy and we will set something up." I think we were all standing there with our mouths gaping open. Was this really happening?

I got to ask him what the hardest song on Back in Black is for him to sing, i just had to know.. I mean I knew mine and wanted to hear him say them

... 1. Shake a Leg  ( funny... me too)  and  2. Shoot to Thrill ( I FEEL YA BROTHER!)

I am in love with him. He is just as crass and foul mouthed as I am. He kept apologizing to me and I kept thinking in my head... if you only knew.

He was so kind and attentive. He was very giving and funny. The man had more jokes and one liners than most comedians. He was BRILLIANT. The next thing you now his body guard was telling him he needed to get going because the guys were on the bus waiting for him. He was escorted on to the elevator and then all of a sudden... SO WERE WE!

We were taken to a second room. It was the real greenroom. AC/DC's greenroom. Their clothing trunks were lining the walls and they had big couches and dinner and about 8 empty cigarrette packs on the table. Benson & Hedges from the UK. ( I took a pack)

And there sitting on the couch was Angus and Malcom. Both smoking and smiling and just hanging out. While Lisa and Adrain were talking with their heroes I took the opportunity to get Brian to sign my jacket and chat with him a little more. Mandy was taking some great pics of Lisa and Malcom.  They stayed for a bit and when we were getting ready to leave I thanked Malcom for letting us make money off of their music. Like Adrian mentioned he said he hoped that we wrote original music too. I assured him that we all had original music and that playing AC/DC actually allows us to put time and money into our original projects without having to have a 9-5 job. He smiled at that one.

Before the brothers left we snapped a few photos and they signed my jacket as well. They were exhausted and excused themselves. When they left Lisa fell to the floor. She had just met the man that inspred her to play music. Mandy collapsed on her and we all just sat around in shock. It was rad.

Then Lisa pointed out that Angus' boxers that he wore for the show were on the floor. Using the poster I had bought I picked them up and gave them to Adrian. Then I realized the Phil Rudd had left his drumming glove on the table so I threw it to Melodie. ( Cliff and Phil were M.I.A.)

That is about it. We got back on the party bus and reveled in our memories. Once the pics are uploaded we will share them with you guys!

IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING TIME OF MY LIFE. I am sure it is safe to say, ALL OF OUR LIVES.

Thank you to EVERYONE who made this dream of ours come true. It will be seared into our memories for all eternity!

We met Brian Malcolm and Angus last night. and hung out!
And they were super nice. I want Jamie to post her version of the story... so hopefully after she wakes up today..she'll get on and give ya a good story. But just wanted to toot my horn on it a bit to those of you who love us and them. They seemed very interested. Brian said he heard that we are the best tribute band in the states. That all kind of people from Scotland recommend us. (i think that's the area he said....) Malcolm told us he hoped we wrote our own songs too and we reassured him that because they allow us to play their music and endorse us.... we can make a living playing music. And we fund all of our original projects from playing AC/DC. I got to tell Malcolm how much I love his songwriting. And how much I enjoy playing their music. I got to tell Angus that because of him I am a better guitar player. He said,"Do you practice a lot" And I said, "I gig a lot and I'm working on a new album and I have a deadline in ..o have it finished...and that I still need two songs... " I digressed as..I felt like I was getting off the subject as I always do..A.D.D.
I asked them about the new album. I meant to say what song did you guys have first that made you want to come out with a new album.. but My A.D.D mind took over. They thought I meant which song was recorded first. They had trouble remembering and giggled..but Angus remembered after a minute.."Skies on Fire". Then he said something like..they had all the songs on tapes previously recorded over there years..so they just picked them out. I'm wondering if all the songs were picked in that fashion.
I asked Angus for a pick and he said "do you want the one I actually play on.. or do you want the ones that have the little picture of me..." I said I wanted the real deal. And I got it. It was one of those Fender picks.. extra heavy. I said "you play on 9's right" He said he did. Those picks really wear down easily. I can't stand them. The kind of player I am.. i would break all those strings with that hard ass pick.. but it barely had any wear on the tip. So he plays very lightly.
like that.
There was lots of cheek kissing and hugging. We gave them a DVD. Jamie got me the pair of sweaty shorts he wore that night. Malcolm and Angus were very polite, accomodating. Brian was outgoing and entertaining. Real rock stars.. real musicians that inspire you... are not pretentious. -adrian

Ac/Dc is our favorite band in the world and we are lucky enough to all
be in the Great PacNw, playing shows and getting all worked up for Ac/Dc's
first tour in 7 years when our R&R heros tour pulls into the area. We have
a pair of tickets to Ac/Dc's Tacoma Dome show [11/30] that we want to share
with you, our fans, and we'll be raffling them off at the Early All Ages
show 11/29 at Hell's Kitchen @ Tacoma (There's another 21+ show later that
evening). Come out to the show (Doors @ 5:00), get a raffle ticket at the
merch table, and just have a lot of fun with us. This show IS ALL AGES and
we do it for the kids, so bring the whole family. You might walk out with a
pair of ticket's for Ac/Dc's sold out Tacoma Dome appearance as the cherry
on top of your Ac/Dc sundae.

Hey everyone I just had to Blog about this past weekend with the Belles because it was almost unbelievable.

Friday morning Hell's Belles played a private event for Amazon.com, load in was at 11am and we played at 1:45. It was an awesome theater with 100 programmers from amazon. Now they had won a contest of some sort and this was their prize. A big fancy lunch, free alcohol and a private show. We stepped out onstage to a considerate applause and stared playing. Do you know how hard it is to play when you cant see anyone and no one is rocking out? We were sweating by the 2nd song! After Adrian did a few spins on the floor and we were about half way through our hour long set people started moving down to the front. Not to stand and rock out, but to sit right in front of the stage and look up at us and sing along and rock back and forth in their seat. Well I got some free beer and water!

After that show Mandy. Melodie and Jay our trusty roadie/ driver/ handiman came over to my house where we relaxed for a minute before heading up to Bellingham for the show that night. After resting for a few hours we all caravaned up to Bellingham and loaded in and ate. The Fairhaven has awesome steaks, btw. Anyway the show sold out and Bellingham was ready to ROCK! Zero Down opened and got those people nice and sweaty for us! By the time we started playing those people were primed and ready! A lady even got up on stage and sang a few songs for me! The show was a blast and the energy was incredible! ( THANKS BELLINGHAM!)

We were all exhausted after the show so we went over to Lisa's place and passed out. Me in a sleeping bag on the floor in her daughter's room~ It was crazy to wake up with stuffed animals and pink everywhere! Ha, was a little disoriented at first. We got up and someone got a text or email saying that there was a possibility that Chris Slade was going to be at the show in Woodinville. Chris SLADE? as in THE EFFING DRUMMER FOR AC/DC all through For Those About to Rock and Razor's Edge! We were all a little excited and nervous but thought... yeah right.

We loaded into the venue and were put into the "greenroom" which was nothing more than an employee locker area and entrance to the office so all night there was people walking through where we are trying to eat, rest and change. Whatever. So Zero Down opens again and the people start going crazy, because they rock, and getting all amped up. We hear that he, Chris Slade, might be coming. if he does come then the manager guys will come to the side of the stage and give us the old nod one-two wink he's here thing. Excited but not believing it would happen we do our Rock Lock and chant AC/DC before getting onstage. The crowd is twice the size of Bellingham and one of our Super Fans is there from Alaska! He even painted us a banner that we hung behind the drums. ( THANKS LANCE!)

The show is going great, people singing and rocking out. There was a lady in the front row that had a huge pair of inflatable balls, as in ball sack... awesome,

All of a sudden Lisa has this look on her face so I look over to my right, There is the manager and behind him I see a bald head. I knew then that he was at the show! OH MY GOD. Trying to finish the song without messing up... it was Riff Raff, we finished and then he made his way up on stage. CHRIS SLADE WAS ON STAGE WITH US! He wanted to play so we let him choose whatever song and we ended up PLAYING HIGHWAY TO HELL WITH THE MAN!

Afterwards he told Melodie that she was tremendous and brilliant and that she was a machine! She was smiling ear to ear! She deserved it she is a bad ass on those drums!

It was amazing and unbelievable and ..... well.

Anyways thought I would share!

Thanks to everyone who came out and made our weekend VERY memorable! THANKS ESPECIALLY TO CHRIS SLADE WHO CAME OUT AND CREATED AN EXPERIANCE THAT WE WILL ALL CHERISH FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!

Hell's Belles is one lucky lady band.  We get to rock out playing Ac/Dc, we
get to play our favorite band,s songs all over the world, and we have the
greatest, most devoted fans around. It's not easy, and certainly sacrifices
have to be made - long nights, hard traveling, bad food, but it's all
totally worth it.  The one tough thing is that Hell¹s Belles just can't play
all the great shows and great places that we get invited to play. It's just
not possible. And, that kinda sucks.  But you know what, we always try and
make it right, one way or the other.

Take for example, Olympia WA.  Years ago, Hell's Belles played many a show
at a joint called the Go Club to sold out, over capacity, ferocious fans.
They were shows of legendary proportions.  But, sadly, the Go Club closed,
and Hell's Belles schedule kept staying super packed, and, well, Hell's
Belles hasn¹t been back to Oly in awhile.  And, the fans have been asking,
all these years, when we're headed back.  And, all these years, we¹ve been
trying.  And, Now, NOW the time has come.  HELL¹S BELLES is coming back to
Oly.

And, it's perfect. Perfect, I tell you.  Audrey Henley/Pioneer Music in
conjunction with the historic Capitol Theatre (www.olyfilm.org) has made it
possible for HELL'S BELLES to roll out the Ac/Dc for the people in a
beautiful, spacious ALL-AGES venue, with a Beer Garden provided for those
about to party. It¹s awesome.  And, Hell's Belles are stoked.  We need the
South Sound fans to come out and join us for Olympia's long overdue and hard
won extravaganza of rockŠ

(FRI)  April 18th  Olympia, WA Capitol Theatre
8:00 Doors, 9:00 Show. All-Ages w/21+ Beer Garden
w/ Zero Down, Mom's Rocket
$10.00 Advance/$12.00 Day of
Tickets Available @ www.buyolympia.com <http://www.buyolympia.com> or
Phantom City Records
For More info: www.pioneermusic.org <http://www.pioneermusic.org>

Hell's Belles are always excited about all our shows.  Can't wait to get
back to see Jeff Gilbert and the Rocksport crew the next night (4/19) out in
West Seattle, or on to Fairbanks/Blue Loon and then Anchorage/Chilkoot's, of
course, the Big Easy's in Spokane & Boise.  A full summer of festivals and
shows and new places and new faces, it¹s all good.  We love our family of
bands, Adrian & The Sickness (Now featuring Belle Mel Zapata on Drums),
Witchburn, Neutral Boy, The Moens, and our extended rock family, Zero
Down, Laura D. & The Pretty Pretties, Dynamite8, Frontside Five, The
Knew, TurboNegra Kleveland, just to name a few.  And, Hell's Belles
will continue the quest to bring ferocious, pitch perfect, high voltage
Ac/Dc rock-n-roll to everyone that asks for it, and for absolutely certain,
for everyone that's been there one way or the other along the way, like
Olympia. So, all ya'all South Sounders get thee out to the Capitol Theater
and celebrate Ac/Dc and rock and roll and hard work and devotion and good
luck.  Hell's Belles will be bringing it.

We Salute You; Adrian, Lisa, Mel, Mandy & Jamie www.hellsbelles.info

Hell's Belles PLAY FAVORITES

We admit it. Hell's Belles Play Favorites. Ac/Dc is our favorite band. Cliff Williams's is Mandy's favorite member, as Malcolm is Lisa's, Phil is Mel's, Angus is Adrian's, and Jamie's got 2 Favorites, Bon and Brian. All the Belles have favorite songs and favorite records, and favorite places to go play. Our favorite job is rocking Ac/Dc and our favorite people - that's you: Our Friends & Fans. We've got a lot of tricks and treats up our sleeves for our upcoming shows, and we want to know what YOUR Favorite song is. Send us a message with your name, the place you'll be out to see us play, and your favorite Ac/Dc song. We think it's fun to mix it up out there, and are always devoted to making sure the Hell's Belles are your favorite, too. We're going to tally up the favorites, mix it up with a few other killer Ac/Dc surprises, and we'll ALL get to be a part of how the Ac/Dc rock goes down in your town.
