After months away building a very luctrative home-based business, I'm back to say I have a book out which I knew nothing about, My fault, long story, I won't bore you. The story is based on the fabled Beast of Bodmin Moor. Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, is steeped in myths and legends, and the Beast is no exception. Emma Hayward, an American wildlife photographer is determined to be the one to find and photograph the Beast. Seth Trevelyan, a sexy motorcycle designer is determined to stop her, but he has his own agenda about that. Trouble is, the tenacious Emma has a Cornish mother who feeds her natural inquisitiveness. And once Emma gets her teeth into a good legend, there's no letting go. Talk again soon Jean

First of all, my lovely cover for Eternal Hearts, is out. Wow!! I'm so thrilled with it.
Second, Highland Press has been "recognised" by RWA and is in the non-subsidy, non-vanity press publisher's guidelines. And that's not all. That very same week we were told that Highland Press books would be available in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, yay!!, as well as in the US.
So we're all feeling pretty good right now.
Oops. Nearly forgot to mention that this week, Oct 15-20, I'm guest travel guide on romence novel tv http://romancenovel.tv . So if you've ever wanted to ask anything about New Zealand, the forum is there.
Happy writing
Jean

Hello,
I thought another week had gone by but I see it is, in fact, two. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun?
My writing challenge is now over. I had to write 300 words a day during September and ended up doing it for two books. Typical Gemini! The second book in my Egyptian trilogy now has 8000+ words and one set in Roman Britain has about 2000 words. Now I have two books that will be ready for editing when their turn comes. 300 words a day might not sound like a big deal but boy, they soon mount up. Why not give it a try?
Now to the invitation. You are invited to a blog party on October 10-11 hosted by my good friend Ginger Simpson. I'll remind you next week but the address, in case you want to bookmark it, is http://mizging.blogspot.com
See you next week
Happy wriitng

I posted last week, honest but it disappeared. I'm still trying to get my head around this blogging thing. Still practice makes perfect, as they say, so I'll try again.
I'm taking a writing challenge with one of my chapters to write for 30 minutes a day ot 300 words a day every day during September. They might not sound a lot but I'm editing another book at the same time. At the emd of the month I should have around 9000 words written on a book that I hadn't even started two weeks ago.
History done, now it's on to the pyramids. Yesterday, I saw a video put out by my publisher, Highland Press, of the preliminary cover of my time travel romance ETERNAL HEARTS, set in ancient Egypt. It was very exciting to see them in all their glory. This is only the prelimiary cover but if you want to take a look at the video, click on the link below for all the Highland Press books on sale now and in the coming months.

Happy writing,

Category: Writing and Poetry
I wasn't interested in blogging and for months (years) I resisted them. Refused to read them and refused to post. Because I didn't understand them or how they worked. That is until my good buddy and MySpace friend Amanda Ashby who wrote YOU HAD ME AT HALO gave us at RWNZ a workshop on blogging and told us how much fun they can be. I finally got the hang of it, I hope.
Well, that's my first attempt at a blog. Hope it measures up and hope I've finally got it right..
Let me know. Please
Jean

Hello again.
It's been a long time since I blogged. Sorry, life got in the way but I promise to be better in future, especially since I have some wonderful news to tell.
I have just sold my latest book, ETERNAL HEARTS, a time travel set in ancient Egypt to Highland Press. There's no release date yet but I'll keep you informed as things get moving.
This book took a lot of research, just as well Egypt is my favourite subject.
That's all the news for now but I promise to talk to you again soon.
Jean

Welcome to my first blog for a long, long while.
I have always resisted blogs because I can never think of anything to write about. Pretty good for a writer, huh?
Maybe I should begin by telling you something about myself so that we can get acquainted, or reacquainted, as the case may be.
I have had three books published, two for Treble Heart Books www.trebleheartbooks.com under the name of Jean Adams --The Sabine Connection and Beats a Wild Heart. Both of these books are available in print or download.
The third book, Hidden Dreams, won the Silver Lining and was published by Heartline (UK). Unfortunately the company went belly-up the following year so that book is no longer available. Not my fault, I promise.
I founded Romance Writers of New Zealand sixteen years ago and I'm happy to say, it's flourishing. For our conferences each year we host authors, editors and agents from the UK and the US which is great because we get to rub shoulders with people we normally wouldn't meet.
Anyway, if you feel like wandering over to my website www.jeandrew.co.nz and feel like signing by guestbook and leaving a short message, feel free.
See you again soon
Jean Adams
