"A LANGUAGE OLDER THAN WORDS" $20.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Part memoir, part philosophy of nature.
"If any book can help us break free of this culture of denial, this is it. Stunningly original, grippingly personal, this book will shock you to your core while at the same time quickening your deepest yearnings for reconnection with the Earth and all its creatures. Jensen has achieved the impossible: a book that is simultaneously horrifying and uplifting, terrifying and beautiful. I could not put it down. Passages from this book will stay with me forever." —Frances Moore Lappe
"Derrick Jensen connects all the right dots to present compelling portraits, not simply of what is wrong with America, but how we might set about fixing it. Language is must reading for anyone in the least concerned about the nature of our common future." —Ward Churchill

"AGENTS OF REPRESSION" $22.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
"A powerful indictment, with far-reaching implications concerning the treatment of political activists, especially those that are black or Native American." —Noam Chomsky.
This excellent exposé should be an obligatory text. This new edition features a new preface by Ward Churchill exposing the FBI's recent efforts to prevent a presidential pardon of Leonard Peltier and its ongoing cover-up of a roster of murders of AIM members and sympathizers.

"ANIMAL INGREDIENTS A-Z" $12.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Animal Ingredients A to Z is the bible for vegetarians, vegans, the health conscious, and caring consumers. More and more we find our everyday foods containing peculiar ingredients—many of which are animal derived. As well as a comprehensive listing of animal ingredients, this easy to navigate guide contains supplemental information on vegan nutrition, food alternatives, and contact information for animal advocacy groups. Carol Adams, author of The Sexual Politics of Meat and Bruce Friedrich, director of Vegan Outreach at PETA, offer introductions to this newly expanded edition. Finally, consumers can brave the labels at their local market confidently.
"Animal Ingredients A to Z is an indispensable resource for new truths and new information. The EG Smith Collective has looked through the grocery store, the cosmetic store, the clothing store, they have looked into cars and at the coating on fruit, they have asked companies about teas and 'natural flavorings' and found the scattered body parts of nonhumans. The EG Smith Collective has restored the absent referent." —Carol J. Adams, from the preface
"Every vegan should own a copy of Animal Ingredients A to Z" —Erik Marcus, author of Vegan: The New Ethics Of Eating

"BURNING RAGE OF A DYING PLANET" $20.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The Earth Liberation Front (ELF) has been active in the United States officially since 1997, causing more than $45 million in damages to various entities. Rejecting State-sanctioned means of legal protest, ELF uses economic sabotage to inflict financial suffering on those deemed objectionable. In February 2002, the FBI listed the ELF as the largest and most active US-based terrorist group. Although no one has died in any of these operations, ELF's campaign against loggers, SUV dealerships, and others it considers threats to the planet have galvanized and polarized the environmental movement. Former ELF spokesperson Rosebraugh charts the history and ideology of ELF and explores their tactics, successes, and limitations. He shows how ELFers offer an uncompromising vision of an earth under assault from the forces of greed and corporate violence, and how they employ direct action against those they deem a threat to the planet. Rosebraugh also examines the issues of whether violence is or is not justifiable, and the short- and long-term political benefits and drawbacks of using violence. Finally, he offers a trenchant vision of the future of the environmental movement, radical politics, and US democracy under the so-called "Patriot" Act.

"DIET FOR A NEW AMERICA" $16.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
A new edition of this classic work, with a new afterword by the author highlighting significant new developments in the relationship between diet and health. From the dependence on animals for food to the belief that consuming meat is necessary for optimum health, and the global implications of a meat-based diet, this is a welcome return for the book that launched thousands of vegetarians.

"ENDGAME-VOLUME I" $19.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Accepting the increasingly widespread belief that industrialized culture inevitably erodes the natural world, Endgame sets out to explore how this relationship impels us towards a revolutionary and as-yet undiscovered shift in strategy. Building on a series of simple but increasingly provocative premises (for example "The needs of the natural world are more important than the needs of any economic system" and "Love does not imply pacifism."), Jensen leaves us hoping for what may be inevitable: a return to agrarian communal life via the disintegration of civilization itself. A brilliant weaving together of piercing analysis and elegant prose, Endgame leads us to see that we can re-imagine our world.
"Derrick Jensen is a rare and original voice of sanity in a chaotic world. He has wisdom and wit, grace and style, and is a wonderful guide to a good life beautifully lived."
—Howard Zinn

"ENDGAME- VOLUME II" $19.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Whereas Volume 1 of Endgame presents the problem of civilization, Volume 2 of this pivotal work illustrates our means of resistance. Incensed and hopeful, impassioned and lucid, Endgame leapfrogs the environmental movement's deadlock over our willingness to change our conduct, focusing instead on our ability to adapt to the impending ecological revolution.
"Derrick Jensen is a gifted and lyrical writer on a wide range of critical issues. He is unrelenting in his commitment to the environment and justice."
—Winona LaDuke

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Written by the director of People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA).

"MANUFACTURING CONSENT" DVD $30.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Through a dynamic collage of biography, archival gems, imaginative graphics, and outrageous illustrations, Marck Achbar and Peter Wintonick's award-winning documentary highlights Chomsky's probing analysis of mass media and his critique of the forces at work behind the daily news. At last, the legendary film is now out on DVD. Not only is it now cheaper than the video, but the DVD edition boasts an extra 45 minutes or so of material (for those that can't quite get enough of our Noam), including considerably more footage of his classic debate with Foucault from 1971, extended excerpts from the 1969 "Firing Line" debate with William F Buckley Jr., and Noam Chomsky himself reflecting on the film!

"STRANGELY LIKE WAR" $15.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Ever since Gilgamesh cut down the ancient cedar forests of Mesopotamia, civilizations have foundered and collapsed in the wake of widespread deforestation. Today, with three quarters of the world's original forests gone and the pace of cutting, clearing, processing, and pulping ever accelerating, Jensen and Draffan lay bare the stark scenario we face—we being not only people, but the non-human fabric of life itself—unless deforestation is slowed and stopped. A must read for anyone who wants to understand the relationship between deforestation and our ecological crisis as well as an essential "handbook" for activists everywhere. With an introduction by Vandana Shiva.
"Must reading for anyone concerned with either the fate of future generations or, indeed, the planet itself." —Ward Churchill

"THE FOURTH WORLD WAR" DVD $25.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Shot on the frontlines of struggles spanning five continents, The Fourth World War is the untold human story of men and women who resist being annihilated in the current global conflict. While our airwaves are crowded with the talk of a new world war, narrated by generals and filmed from the noses of bombs, the human face of war is rarely seen. The Fourth World War weaves together the images and voices of the war on the ground—from the front lines of struggles in Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Palestine, Korea, "the North" from Seattle to Geneva, and the "War On Terror" in New York and Iraq. Narrated by Michael Franti and Suheir Hammad. Seventy-five glorious minutes, with music from the likes of Manu Chao, Asian Dub Foundation, Ozomatli, and DJ Moosaka.
"A powerful, radical cry from the frontlines of the war on people. This film captures the spirit of resistance: it is as beautiful and global as humanity itself." —Naomi Klein

The restored material includes Sinclair's most pointed political commentary and additional shocking scenes from the meatpacking industry.

Very much in the style (and substance) of Sarah Kramer, Isa Moskowitz (host of the Post Punk Kitchen cable cookery show) provides ample (and delicious) vegan recipes with plenty of punk sass, anecdotes, wisdom and wit. Like good music, cooking is best when it's an innovative, experimental, and completely real experience. She covers all meals of the day, and much of the philosophy behind them. Asparagus and Sun-dried Tomato Frittata; Fresh Mango Summer Rolls; Pumpkin Waffles; Green Goddess Garlic Pizza; Brooklyn Pad Thai; Banana Split Pudding Brownies; Fauxstess Cupcakes; Gingerbread Apple Pie...and much much more. Rockin', tasty, and wise.

"WELCOME TO THE MACHINE" $18.00

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Tiny ID chips track every car, shirt, and razor blade purchased from corporate manufacturers. Governments and multinational corporations gather information on every citizen's race, family life, credit record, buying preferences, employment history, favorite TV shows, telephone conversations—and can surreptitiously peruse emails. Exoskeleton armor makes soldiers invincible, while mind-altering drugs make them incapable of remorse. In Welcome To The Machine, the award-winning duo reveal the modern culture of the machine, where corporate might makes technology right, government money feeds the greed for mad science, and absolute surveillance leads to absolute control. Through meticulous research and fiercely personal narrative, J & D move beyond journalism and exposé to question our civilization's very mode of existence. Welcome challenges our submission to the institutions and technologies built to rob us of all that makes us human—our connection to the land, our kinship with one another, our place in the living world.
