Thanks to the performers who made the first ever all acoustic bash-and-a-half a blast: CHRISTINE FLORES-COZZA, DOLEFUL LIONS, ADAM FITZ, JULIE JURGENS, KASPER HAUSER & DANN MORR.

Hopefully there will be more pics/videos to come. In the meanwhile, we begin putting together December's big big bash.

And didn't I hear that Chris Bell's I Am the Cosmos was getting a similar re-release?

Since the wait between annual events can be excruciatingly long, we've decided to put together a special mid-year, all-acoustic, bash-and-a-half!

Calendar June 27th for this very special event, to be held at Uncommon Ground, the premiere venue for acoustic music in Chicago. Performers TBA.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to last night's fourth annual bash. The show ran without a hitch and in fact was so orderly that we wound up almost an hour ahead of schedule! I enjoyed hearing everyone -- veterans as well as first-timers, with such an amazing breadth of styles and variations on Chilton tunes -- and meeting fellow Alex fans in the audience. Empty Bottle personnel were consummate pros and the folks from CHIRP got to spread some indie radio love around. In all, it was a terrific night of music and camaraderie.

I hope to post photos, videos and audio from the show over the coming months. If anyone out there has anything to share, please let me know. I'd be happy to post it, and send a blog alerting people to its availability.

Should start seriously planning LXBB-V mid-year. In the meanwhile, keep in touch, and if you know of anyone who might be interested in participating in 2009, please have them contact me.
