based on the mini-MINI cd that Sindre from Obliteration gave me, + their new song up.
------------------------------------------------
so i want to thank myself and all of you that have read and commented productively to this BAND OF THE WEEK blog, because ---
so far it has resulted in a couple of interesting things.
1: band of the week now has it's own festival! Mark Lewis had the original idea to make a fest out of the band of the week-bands, and it seems it now will happen. LIVE EVIL FEST in Camden.
2: in the March issue of Terrorizer mag it seems will be "co-run" by both Ted and me in DARKTHRONE, Ted is interviewing ATLEAST Teitanblood and Morne and i have picked out 11 bands, 5 to be mini-interviewed and another 6 with honorable mentions.
So something CAN actually come out of pure uncorrupt underground idealism if one does it long enough. It was quite some time ago i started literally with two empty hands in the global metal underground scene of tapetrading, zines and demo bands in early 1987.
THANK YOU ALL.

Let the Streets Burn | Start Time: | Friday, 05 February 2010 at 19:00 | | End Time: | Saturday, 06 February 2010 at 01:00 | | Location: | Tyranni & Muttasjon | | Street: | Junction of Schweigaardsgate and Oslo gate |
Description STREETBURNERS!
Patch on, button up and come out of the shadows, it’s happening again.
You KNOW the score, now come back for even MORE of the most FANTASTIC Music there is, on these banks of the river STYX, on Friday the 5th of February at Let the streets burn Club.
On our January night, DJ Fenriz treated us with a set, mainly extracted from a mix-cassette he got years ago and It was MASSIVE.
We are proud to announce that he’s is back as a LTSB DJ on each club night from 1900 – 2100 until TENTING SEASON starts up again.
DJ Fenriz aka Gylve Fenris Nagell aka Fenriz of Darkthrone has been a contributing FORCE since the very beginning of Let the Streets Burn. The variety and quality of both his eclectic, as well as his genre defined DJ sets are known to most of you Streetburners now, always uncompromising & excellent.
Quoting Fenriz, the music this time will be, - Taterviser, Usympatisk pønk og generell forvirring.
This time around he’s bringing a guest with him. The dark & HANDSOME Streetburner, Børge Eilertsen who is widely known in the underground circles of Oslo, as a vinyl collector, rocker and SQUASH player.
We expect to hear some WILD stuff from multiple offstream genres.
Later on DJ Yours truly, will be spreading flowers ON top you, with a one hour set of 60-70’s rock and Hunky Tonk, before DJ Fenriz joins in for another hour Of back-to-back with “truly”, aka. Lobotomi aka. DJ DJ Barnfire aka. Skattebetaler og familefar, Tomi Korhonen.
We will take everything we got, then some, then boil to reduce and give you (kamfer)drops of essence.
For the end of the night it will be TYRANNI & MUTTASJON with DJ. Yours Truly with DJ Harald Fossberg (Död Oter, Hærværk) who join ranks with me behind the decks for a deformed, vivid, transparent, proposterous and highly SYMPTOMATIC evening.
The odour will stick to your clothes until next time.
A small stone is sometimes an underground mountain tip, but most of the time it’s just big sand. We in LTSB don’t believe in sand, we believe in the Forrest and Burning Streets!

YES! KICKASS! This was such an easy choice. I am basing this on their yellow 7", but i met Tarjei (voxx) on the street here the other day, and he says their black 7" kills even more. UNGH! Anyway, thanks to Stian DER KAISER for bringing this (and his good mood) into my existence. And Fiske-Larsen on drums too, dæven detta er GROMT

well, as metal merchants festival is coming up this weekend, i will post a band that i dj'ed both days at last year's metal merchants, namely METALIAN from Canada. They sound ANCIENT and have cool influences like Thin Lizzy and probably Diamond Head. And they are alive and playing NOW
