DOLLAR$ FOR DEADBEAT$ - a benefit gig for Roger 'Rags' Segal of Sorry & The Sinatras. Roger got stuck in the UK when the Sorry & the Sinatras tour got cancelled and he is currently broke and homeless in London until he can get his flight back which was scheduled for the end of the tour.

So we've gotten together a group of Roger's friends to play a one-off gig doing Sorry & The Sinatras songs and punk & rock'n'roll classics to help raise money for Roger's living expenses while he is in London.

Appearing on the night alongside Roger will be Ginger (the Wildhearts), Jorma Vik [The Bronx], Chris McCormack [3 Colours Red/Gary Numan], Acey Slade (Murderdolls/Amen/Trashlight Vision), Dave Kerr (Sorry & The Sinatras, The Cherrykicks), Tom Spencer(The Yo-Yo's, The Loyalties), Rich Jones (The Black Halos, Amen, The Loyalties), Ginger (the Wildhearts), Eureka Machines (also playing a short set), Pat Lynch (Junkstar), Rich Rags (Madison Strays, Role Models) and some surprise guests. There will be drink specials and a late bar and this is a bank holiday Sunday so no work the next day!

Sorry & The Sinatras (featuring Scott Sorry from The Wildhearts) debut album 'Highball Roller' is out now on Undergroove! More info at http://www.myspace.com/sorryandthesinatras

Sorry And The Sinatras forced to postpone UK tour.

It is with deep and sincerest regret that Sorry And The Sinatras forthcoming UK tour has had to be cancelled at the 11th hour.

The decision has arisen due to operational tour problems which are entirely beyond the band's control.

Says frontman Scott Sorry: "I have never cancelled a show in my life and words cannot express the disappointment of this news. We are gutted and truly sorry to all we have let down. We'll be making it up to everyone this Summer - fear not!"

The band are already rescheduling shows to coinicide with exciting Summer festival news - due to be announced very soon...

ONE WEEK DOWN, 2 TO GO....WE ARRIVED IN MANCHESTER AND QUICKLY MADE OUR WAY TO WHAT WOULD BE OUR HOME FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS...BARNSLEY, ENGLAND. UPON THE SINATRAS ARRIVAL, ROGER AND LENNY DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO GO CHECK THE TOWN OUT AND SEE WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT. ONE HOSTAGE SITUATION AND A WHOLE LOT OF NARCOTICS LATER (DETAILS TO COME), THE BAND DECIDED IT MIGHT BE A BETTER IDEA TO GET TO THE TASK AT HAND...THE RECORDING OF "HIGHBALL ROLLER", THE DEBUT SINATRAS CD FOR UNDERGROOVE RECORDS. LENNY WAS FIRST ..WORKING WITH PRODUCER JASON SANDERSON AND THE EFFECTS OF A BOTTLE OF SHIT VODKA PROVED TO BE TOO MUCH FOR LEN ON THE FIRST EVENING WITH THREATS OF " I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU" AND " IT'S A ME THING", LENNY ROLLED THRU THE DRUM TRACKS AS IF THAT VODKA WAS NEVER INGESTED. JOB WELL DONE. NEXT UP WAS ROGER...ROCKY GONE RETARD PUMMELED OUT THE BOTTOM END SHOWING VERY LITTLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE HIROSHIMA LIKE DEVASTATION HE HAD JUST PUT HIS BODY THRU ON THE EVENING PREVIOUS. OTHER THAN FORGETTING WHAT SONG HE WAS PLAYING AND THE OCCASIONAL MENTION OF THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, RAGS WAS PRETTY MUCH ON HIS GAME. SCOTTY...ON A PRETTY TIGHT SCHEDULE BECAUSE OF GIGS WITH THE WILDHEARTS, STAGGERED THRU HIS RHYTHM GUITAR TRACKS WHILE HAVING "HIS PEOPLE" MEET WITH "OUR PEOPLE" TO DISCUSS WHICH 2 QUID BOTTLE OF WINE HAD THE MOST ALCOHOL CONTENT. "SOL DE ESPANA" CAME UP AS THE UNANIMOUS WINNER. WITH THAT EARTH SHATTERING BIT OF INFORMATION OUT OF THE WAY, SCOTT RIPPED UP HIS TRACKS AND PREPARED HIS PIPES FOR VOCAL DUTY. WITH GOOD FRIENDS AND BETTER KEBABS IN THE MIX, SORRY AND THE SINATRAS HAVE COME THRU WEEK ONE RELATIVELY UNSCARRED AND COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULTS OF THE RECORDING. WITH UPCOMING FEATURES IN BOTH ROCKSOUND AND BIZARRE MAGAZINES, AS WELL AS THEIR DEBUT UK PERFORMANCES IN BIRMINGHAM AND LONDON TO LOOK FORWARD TO, THE SINATRAS WILL LEAVE THEIR PRESENCE FELT LONG AFTER THEY'VE LEFT FOR THEIR HOMELAND. MORE NEXT WEEK...
