It is June 1st. Finally the hangover haunting our dreams has subsided from the CD release party. In more ways than one, this much anticipated album "rode slow". Now that it is out, we would love to hear what you think. Please feel free to comment on the CD, whether it wakes you up in the morning, accompanies you on car rides or assists a good nap in a hammock... Feel free to leave us a message to let us know we were with you for those times. Thank You all for the continuous love and support.

First and foremost, thanks to Soraia for not only kicking ass on stage, but for having us, its always cool hanging out with that whole crew. Next show with them is looking like an all age show at JC DOBBS 2/28. Its going to be a very special event, we hope you can make it. We do not have enough words to thank "guzine JOE Watson" for making our night a memorable one. I think that it is very safe to say that everyone who attended our VIP room enjoyed themselves, nuff said. It was really cool meeting Pierre Robert and talking to him on stage. Not only was it cool cause we all listen to him, but also being on the same bill for such a good cause. We had the pleasure of meeting Obi. Exra Greasy cheese burger, lots of fries and a bucket (or bag) of ketchup. Wayne Shannon did a great job running sound as usual. Wayne arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon (1st one there) and was the last one out at 3:00am (last one to leave). We are proud to be working with him as our producer of our upcoming album "Open Up Your Mind".
Thanks to hippy krys and MLM Photo & Design for taking pictures!! And thank all of you that show love and support especially, Nicole, Boo, Shannon, Sonny, Dave, Zach, Becky Geanie, The entire redstone crew, Friends Classic Rock, Coach, Joel, Tracy, Gian Carlo, Melissa, Cheese, Grunder, Jenna, Rocco, and many more.
Not really sure what else to say except we are sorry if you missed it. Pictures will be posted soon, Please send us pictures from your camera with you on it and we will make a special album.

Ladies and Gents, Flash here with the third blog about Whiskey Train's new album "Open Up Your Mind," now with added pics and videos!! Yeah, our first ever music video. You'll see...
Today we're taking a look at "Blue Jeans," the song dedicated to the time honored tradition of getting our drink on outside of the stadium. Kenny really captured the feeling of chilling with friends on a nice day while drinking and scarfing down burgers before a game. Our timing being as impeccable as ever, we are in the studio finishing up the song we promised everyone we would have ready for the Phils home opener for the '08 season. That didn't actually happen; but it looks like we should have it done just around the 2 month anniversary of the Phillies becoming World Champions. Sorry...World F'ing Champions!! Fuck yeah Chase! Wait, did I just censor myself then drop the F bomb?
All five of us are die hard Phils fans. It's a safe bet that at almost every home game this season, provided there wasn't a Whiskey Train show, at least one member of the band was in the crowd. You may remember if you saw us. Dom was the one that booed you with his harmonica if you happened to be wearing a Mets jersey. And speaking of the Mets *choke* in October, did you know the difference between a Mets hot dog and a Phillies hot dog? You could still get a Phillies hot dog. You know what the other difference was? You're less likely to choke on a Phillies hot dog.
The lyrics to the song are below. You guys are gonna love the crazy percussion section Bart layed down on this one. Oh, and the video! It will be uploaded tonight and stars the talented and handsome up and coming actor named Riley Tallant. Cute kid, also the nephew of Bart and me. He learned the song because Joal, his dad, walked around singing it and he just picked it up. It's now his favorite Whiskey Train song, but "It's Alright" is a close second. Special thanks to our adorable new editor for making me look like I'm fluent in english, which I've learned I'm not... Enjoy it guys.

So last night we played at Plush Night Club. First, we would like to thank Wendy Rollins of Radio 104.5 for the kind words in our introduction, we would also like to thank the guys from GIV (hometown groove rock band...CHECK THEM OUT, they will be playing shows with us in the future)! It was really cool sharing a stage with RETURN TO ARMS and DESOTO JONES for the first time. And it is always a good time when the guys from NEW LIBERTY are in the house. Thank you to Vinny from Double V for making an appearance. And thank you to Vince Collar for helping us take our minds off of things after the show.
This being said, we apologize to all fans, friends, and family who attended this event. Its organization and professionalism were unorganized and unprofessional. We were unaware of the mandatory coat check, and were appalled at the fact that everyone's camera's and lighters were taken away. Furthermore, we would like to apologize to the people who arrived on time according to the time of promotion, on having to stand in the freezing cold. Apparently, the security hired was late, therefore the doors could not open. Of approximately 2 years of playing music in shows ranging from New York City to Nashville Tennessee, we have never had this problem and will ensure you all that as a business and as a friend, that this will never happen again.
Thank you once again for your consistent love and support, Whiskey Train

Ladies and Gents,
Morning. Flash here with the second blog about Whiskey Train's new album "Open Up Your Mind". Let's kick off today with the second announced song for the CD. It is…"Open Up Your Mind"!!!! (Below you'll find the lyrics) Yeah, I know. You're shocked. "Gee, Open Up Your Mind will be on the album Open Up Your Mind. Way to blow our minds".
Okay smart ass, how about we also give show you some rejected artwork for the album cover. We again are working with Brad Burris who did an amazing job on the cover of our first EP. And we gave him instructions this time! Yeah, good thinking on our parts. The ideas we gave him are 100% represented in the artwork, it just didn't feel right to us once we saw our ideas executed. You can view them in our photo section under artwork. Our idea was for the "moon burst" and Brad also gave us the option of a "sunburst" that he felt was a closer representation of our music. It was, just still not quite right to us. Fortunately, we now gave him free reign to just go crazy and the ideas that he's developing now have us all ecstatic. Wait'll you guys see the finished product.
"Open up your mind"
Why'd you have to con people into your games?
And make yourself seem like you're the next big thing?
I don't care about what you got- or who you have
I don't care about the things that make you feel so grand
I can see right through your lying eyes- I laugh at your fakeness all the time
I try to be humble for a while- but you live so vain your soul is swimming in lies
And I try to be frank- I try to believe, these ways that you live won't always be
But a fraudulent face, and imposturous taste, in my mouth of yourself- can't be erased
Pre- chorus:
And you know it too, almost like you're proud
To be the biggest fool, in the crowd so
Chorus:
Open up your mind, and see the surprise in these people's eyes
This feelin inside, when you open up your heart and let the
Sunny days arise; let the sadness go by- cause when these worlds collide
There won't be nothing to- live for, for sure- so don't be vain in this life anymore.
I told you once, I told you twice
You didn't listen to my advice
The only thing I need to know
Is why you be acting like a fool?
You just try to impress everyone, it's a mess!
Just wish you'd confess, maybe that's too much to ask?
Or maybe its wealth that makes you somebody else
Whatever it is I wish you'd just be yourself.
Pre-chorus
Chorus

So, the first song that will be on Open Up Your Mind (drum roll please) is... COME MY WAY!! Yay!! Wait, what do you mean you already knew that? You've already heard it? What the f-, er...I mean, oh really?
Yes the first track announced for the CD is also our first single that you can hear on our pages at facebook, myspace and official website. It will soon be available for purchase on iTunes and also has been selected to appear on Jaxon's Local Shots Volume 5. That's a big honor for us to be included on this compilation and we've been walking around telling (bragging) to everyone within shouting distance. Huge thanks to Jaxon for keeping us in mind when selecting bands.
The song was one of the last songs written before we entered the studio and during the recording its really come into its own and evolved. Now read the lyrics below and spread the word, Whiskey Train has released a new single...
Come My Way
Can you take one second to think
I know we have each other, but I just want to get away
Free fallin,
Out into the open sky
Away, from the devils cry, we try
To live when others live to die,
But then you don't know what cha got
You're tangled up in these thoughts again so
Chorus:
Show me love and the tides will come take me away
Ya capsized me, 'then I bring myself back up
You're realizing the way the current tows, you'll say
I cannot fight it, so baby won't you come my way
Verse 2:
Hey little baby with your broken life
Can you watch me free fall to the open sky
I got the sure-shot bottle, the old piece shaker
So strap yourself in or the devils gonna take you away
And I know, can I complain to you? No.
You hit the top of your game
And what cha get back? A bucket a shame
Well ill tell ya again, one time around, as we say.
Chorus
