Life has been good the past couple of weeks on the TOMS Shoes tour. I have been to a lot of new places and struggle to leave my new friends each and every day. Through this time, I have been opened up to a situation in Uganda. Yesterday, I cried for Africa. I was at an Invisible Children screening of their film "GO" in Raleigh, North Carolina. I can't believe that there are children commuting each and every night, looking for a safe place to sleep. Children are being abducted. They are forced to be soldiers. They are brainwashed. They are forced to kill. It breaks my heart. The good news is that we can do something. Click here to find out more. I am tired of sitting around and waiting for things to happen. I am a part of a generation that is ready to take action. Find someone that is in need and do something to help them. It's simple.

Austin, TX I fall in love with Austin a little bit more every time I am here. Spent most of the day at Whole Foods (I actually hopped in - video will be posted soon). Talked to some people about TOMS when I was there. Photo opportunity happened on the way out. You may notice a whistle around my neck. Go check out ... http://www.fallingwhistles.com. I headed over to the Congress Bridge to watch the bats and was disappointed. Since it is so late in the year, they came out really, really late. Some bats flew around the bridge, but they all didn't take off all at once like I had heard about. Bummer! To make up for the lame bats, I set out on a quest to find some good 'ol Texas BBQ. I landed at Ruby's, over by UT. Their brisket was incredible! That will be on my "everytime I am in Austin" list. One of my favorite places in the universe is at Mozart's over on Lake Austin Blvd. I could sit there and relax everyday of my life. Austin, so good. I want to live here. Five days down. Chipotle count: 2 Okay, bye!

I have been sitting in the TOMS van all day. Tucson to Austin. Luckily I have internet in the van and can FaceBook it up all day long! I keep in touch with my friends so well when I am on the road. When I am in the van, I have the opportunity to just sit and write. I have thought about getting a little baby guitar so I can play when I am driving ... just kidding ... but seriously, I would. Will be in Austin in just a couple of hours. I am ready to be there. Tomorrow will be a good day. I am going to hop into Whole Foods. Literally, hop. Video to come (maybe). The last time I was in Austin, I didn't go and have regretted it ever since. I may make a stop at the Hula Hut as well. I like that place. We'll see what happens. Oh yeah, I heard about the bats in Austin. If anyone has ever been there, you probably know what I am talking about. I watched it on YouTube and really want to see it with my own eyes. Austin reminds me of Nashville. I will be in Nashville in a couple of weeks. Yay! Check out this pic I took this morning before we hit the road... Okay. Bye!
