Once again, the Gunners had a hard match and lost to their bogey team in the Premiership - Bolton. With Henry out injured and Van Persie suspended, Theo Walcott started with Adebayor the sole man up front. Hleb who has been in great form was also on the bench so maybe their was some uncertainty within the team on how they would perform missing some of their key players.
As so often, Arsenal were 1-0 down in the first 10 minutes so had a battle on their hands to get the match back in their favour. Approaching half time, one time Arsenal player Nicolas Anelka scored hist first goal v Bolton giving them 2-0 going into the break. Gilberto fired back almost instantly to score to lessen the impact.
A few "dodgy" decisions may have robbed Arsenal of coming back fully in the game and even with Baptista & Hleb coming on for Flamini & Ljungberg, the damage had been done when Anelka scored for the second time in the match - it was all over.
Now slipping down the table in the Premiership, it will be a hard task to get them back where they belong and any chances of winning the title have slipped away. There is still plenty of success still to be had in the Champions League though which will be their main priority and of course a Carling Cup tie v Liverpool in a few weeks.
Come on the Arsenal!

A great result for the Gunners tonight in the Champions League game v Hamburg, it saw a shaky start to the match with the team going a goal down within the first few minutes. The first half performance was somewhat lacklustre and one can only imagine hardsh words were said by Wenger in the half time team talk.
And those words inspired the boys to a superb second half performance. They upped their pace and shortly RVP scored to even the match. Then a brilliant goal by Eboue who put the team 2-1 in front. Within minutes of the final whistle, susbstitute Baptista scored to win the match 3-1! It was a much needed result for our position in the Champions League group table with a shock win from Porto earlier in the day. Thansk to the excellent victory, Arsenal now go TOP of the table and should be confident of making it through to the next stages - although we will be without Henry who is punished for 2 bookable offences.
Flamini once again started the game from midfield and worked extremely hard and got stuck in as he always does! You know the boy is going to work hard when the sleeves have already been rolled up after 2 minutes of the game. A great performance by the Frenchman and the rest of the team!

Another match at home at the new Emirates Stadium - this one proved a frustrating one for the team. In the first half, Arsenal were 1-0 down in the first half thanks to a goal from Keiron Dyer. In the second half, Arsenal had many chances on target and Henry came off the bench to equalise. Arsenal threw everything they had to score the winner but it wasn't too be. A smilar story for the Gunners where they have a slow start, conceed and then fight back strongly but unable to make the impact they need!
Once again Flamini started and played for the full duration of the match in his preferred midfield position. Heres hoping Arsenal can turn their fortunes around in time for the Champions League match on Tuesday against Hamburg....

A fantastic result for Mathieu and the team today - a superb 3-0 victory at home to Liverpool. After bouncing back to form on Wednesday in the Carling Cup v Everton, the team continued their succes to take 3rd place in the Premiership with a game in hand.
Arsenal were nearly 1-0 up within the first minute after Flamini set up Robin Van Persie but unfortunately RVP had handballed so the goal was disallowed. There were many excellent chances for the Gunners and in the 41st minute, Flamini scored to put us on front just before half time. Great goal for him in a crucial game, his first goal in the Premiership this season. It was a great chance for Flamini to show his worth today with Rosicky injured, it gave him a chance to step him and start in midfield - where he prefers to play and today he really made the most of it.
Toure & Gallas wrapped up the game for Arsenal in the second half so we finished with a comfortable 3-0 win. A performance to be proud of and lets hope it spurs the boys up to move up that table come the end fo the season.
Well done Flamini & co!!

Success for Arsenal tonight! After a couple of disappointing matches, Arsenal were back to true form in the Carling Cup tie against Everton and their young guns did the job. Adebayor scored in the 85th minute after being set up by Flamini to win the match 1-0. It appears Arsenal could have won by more as Flamini & Aliadiere had many chances so good to see the boys back to top form and firing the shots in!
We now wait to see who Arsenal draw in the next round of the Carling Cup!

A disappointing game for Arsenal on Wednesday v CSKA Moscow in the Champions League which saw the final result as a 0-0 draw. Flamini came on in the 88th minute but by then the result was inevitable with chances galore but unfortunately no goals.
Today Arsenal played West Ham and were very unlucky to eventually lose 1-0. Arsenal's pleas for a justified penalty were denied and West Ham scored with only just 5 minutes left of the match. Mathieu came on to replace Justin Hoyte in the 76th minute and played in midfield, where he was unable to stop Matthew Etherington's charge.
Wednesday see's the team in Carling Cup Action v Everton - lets hope the team can get back onto the winning streak.

After a break from playing in the first team for Arsenal, Flamini returned to the action to replace Justin Hoyte in right back in the match against Everton. The final result ended 1-1 thanks to a goal from RVP but it was good to see Flamini playing around 60mins and showing everybody what they've been missing. He looked sharp and may feature in the Champions League match v CSKA Moskow.
