Hey all you myspace addicts...

Thanks for being part of our stirring community.

Have you ever wondered about how you can get involved?
Well, here's an awesome volunteer opportunity coming up in Sydney
- can you help us?

We have two unmissable events on offer in Sydney to coincide with
World Youth Day that need volunteers.

1. Connecting Lives
-------------------
 - an interactive walk-through exhibit that will
transport people to the heart of Africa.

Open each day from 10am-9pm,
10-20 July
Hyde Park Barracks Museum,
Macquarie Square, Sydney.

More info >> http://www.connectinglives.com.au

2. Art4Aid Art Prize Exhibition
-------------------------------
 - exhibiting the best primary and secondary art from across Australia.
You can enter up until June 30.

On show each day 10:30am – 5pm,
12-27 July
Birrung Gallery,
Potts Point, Sydney.

More info >> http://www.stir.org.au/art4aid

If you're keen to stir the world through volunteering and will be in
Sydney during July, we'd love to hear from you!

We need 4-5 volunteers at our Connecting Lives and Art4Aid events to
spread the word about STIR, be a friendly face and encourage people to
act financially or non-financially.

Shift times will vary from 10am to 9pm
(4 hr minimum - but longer would be helpful.)

Of course, training will be provided too.

Each shift you can help out, will save us over $100.
It's kinda like reverse fundraising!

Keen?

Email Betty our volunteer chief at volnsw@worldvision.com.au with
'WYD Volunteer' in the subject line or phone 02 9806 6388.

Let her know your:

- Name, age, contact phone number,
- Any times or days you are available (between 10-27 July)
- Any relevant experience (volunteer or paid)

We need to hear from you by Friday, 13 June if you'd like to get involved.

If you can't volunteer - please come along and visit us - I'm sure you'll
love these events.

Cheers guys,

Nigel Preston

ALL (yep 100% of) proceeds from every Guarana Lip Butter sold from the Body Shop go directly to funding HIV awareness and prevention for young people around the world. They are easy to spot in the shops in bright pink and green – or you can get some online right now!

According to a UN Aids Report published in December 2006, more than 40 million people live with HIV & AIDS and half of all new HIV infections are young adults under the age of 25. That’s people just like you!

And be warned, you can spend many a fun hour playing the very fun and highly addictive flash game!

The organization charged with creating the change is an MTV charity: Staying Alive.
Staying Alive gives financial grants to young people around the world who run their own youth-focussed HIV and AIDS awareness projects.
Move Your Lips is building on brilliant success the MTV & the Body Shop enjoyed with their "Spray to Change" campaign in 2007.
