Hey there Science Friends! Last month was a big one; we played a lot of shows and started getting played on KWVA's The Baker's Ball. May is promising to be equally exciting. Here are some things you all have to look forward to.
Saturday May 3rd we are playing at the Ike Box in Salem with the likes of The Slants and Quaker Vs. Computer. It will cost $5 to get in--which is a real deal when you consider that there will be a totel of 4 performances--and is an all ages show. It's being billed as a dance Party... so, you know what to do.
Saturday May 24th 8:05 p.m.: Science Heroes will be appearing on KWVA FM 88.1. They will be playing our humble CD and conducting a short interview. We will be promoting a big show happening the following weekend.
Friday May 30th 8 p.m.: the BIG show. Mon Marie will be coming down to play a show with us that we are putting on at Agate Hall. The Party Tigers and Arithmetic Danger Club will also be performing. It will cost $5, which (again) is a hell of a deal considering that there will be 4 bands playing. Oh, it is an All Ages show, so bring the kids... as long as you are going to be responsible for them... on second thought, don't bring the kids.

We had a great show at the black forest last night. There were some technical difficulties, but we still managed to burn that joint to the ground!!!
Next Weekend we are playing in Portland. That’s right we are moving up in the world--well, I mean northward at least. Saturday April 5th we play The Red Room and Sunday April 6th we play Chaos Cafe. We are excited about it and so should you be. If you live in P-town go to one of these shows. On Monday the 7th we play the Coffee Shop Cafe in Salem and on Tuesday the 8th we are back in Eugene rocking the Wandering Goat! That will be a Free all ages event so if you are strapped for cash come to that one. Otherwise we will be playing Luckey’s Club on the 17th... that is likely to have a small cover charge but should be a really good show--we are playing with an interesting band called Fauna.
In other news, we are performing at the Art Conference at Gutenberg College. (See, we don’t JUST rock... we’re artsy too.) We will be colaborating with local composer McKenzie Stubbert. Should be really interesting, but you can’t come unless you are going to the art conference. Sad for you.
Well that’s the news from lake Woba--I mean Eugene, OR. Hope to see you all at a show or two.

Well, you’ve heard about it now!! We are playing a free show at The Black Forest on Thursday. Show starts at 10 and I have been told that we will be going on first... so don’t be late. This will be our last show for March, but we will be playing like gangbusters in April. A lot of those shows will be free also, so there is no reason why you can’t have a little extra science in your life.
See you Thursday. Andy.

Current mood: adventurous
OKEY-DOKEY Science-Friends, here’s the scoop: I (Andy) am putting together a show with Mon Marie and Party Tigers for Friday May 30th. We are renting Agate Hall for the occasion. It’s going to cost Science Heroes a chunk of change so if you go to any science show in May go to that one. It will probably cost about 5 or 7 bucks--I don’t know yet. For that price you will get three solid bands to rock out to. These bands are no slouches either. You will be awed by their magnificence. So get psyched now folks, because it is going to be a hell of a show!!!

We have seven shows coming up between now and the end of April. Let me tell you about them.
We had a great show with Party Tiger and Weatherbox at The Black Forest last week and so they asked us to come back. February 27th we play with a local band called The Tunnel Kings (and they are quite good) at the Black Forest. March 27th we play again. And April 24th we play yet again. All these shows start at 10 pm.
Also in April, we are playing four dates with the Let Up (who will be on tour). On Saturday April 5th, we will be at the Red Room in Portland--and I was thinking that maybe we can plan a car pool so that all our Eugene homies can go up and chill in P-Town gangsta style. On April 7th we will be at The Coffee Shop Cafe in Salem. On April 8th we will be at Eugene's very own Wandering Goat. And on the 9th we jet down to Medford to play Jonny B's.
We are also talking to John Henry's about doing a show with them sometime in the near future. That will be extra fun, because people go to John Henry's to dance and we like to get that kind of party started.
So stay tuned people. We got a lot of good stuff in the works. And remember--we are giving stuff away. We got CDs, stickers and buttons. Catch is: you got to come to a show to get it.
Hope to see you soon.
andy (a hero of science--self proclaimed)

Hey Science Friends! We are writing you from Beautiful Fresno California where we played the fourth show of our California tour with "Lakes". We had a great turn out at the Starline, which, incidentally, is a fabulous club to play at. We had some really shitty shows in Reedly and SLO (both long stories that I would love to tell you some time but not now while I am so tired), but tonight we rocked the hell out of the place! Anyway, we just wanted to give you a little update. Tomorrow we will be in Fullerton and we will try to keep you updated.

We, here at Science Heroes Industries, are working round the clock to have the Science Heroes EP out by the time we leave on tour!!! In fact we just finished recording a new track on Saturday that is currently being mixed by our producer/engineer extraordinar Mr. Ashley Stubbert. The final product should have two EPIC songs recorded/engineered/produced by Ashley and three more that we did with our friend Cory over the summer. We will probably be charging $5 for it... and believe me when I tell you, every cent of that generous contribution will go right back to the starving band members that produced the CD for you. So it's not just good music, it's also a good cause... us... we're poor... feel sorry for us...
