Hey everybody!
I just wanted to post to let you all know that I'm covering Silly Season, as much as possible anyway, because it's just, well... silly, at the blog.
Come by, shoot the breeze about the rumors, or just say hi.
Hope to hear from you all soon!

*So I'm sure as most of you have seen, Hendrick announced that Tony Eury, Jr. will be following Dale Jr. to HMS in 2008.
This upset me in a lot of ways, honestly. First and foremost because I just think it's a lose/lose situation for everyone involved. Simply because Dale Jr. wanted Tony Jr. with him, he didn't get probably the best crew at HMS with the current five team. Alan Gustafson was adamant early on that he wanted that team to stay together, with him at the helm. I said, "Great! Let's plug Junior in and get this party started."
Not so much.
Also, Dale Jr. will have to suffer through another year as Tony Jr. as his crew chief, which is a problem. I've said over and over again that Tony Jr. is/was a great car chief. He's great at setting the car up before getting to the race track, but when the green flag flies, he can't get the job done. The perfect example of this was just this past weekend...

I actually stopped making New Years resolutions a few years ago, but I'm feeling inspired, so I'm going to make a few and let you know what the are...
1) To blog more often. I know it gets dead around here sometimes, but no more! Hopefully Meme and I will blog so often you guys will get sick of us. Well, not really, but you know...
2) To never, ever complain when my driver is being stupid on the radio. Because there will always be that sad, sad day in December/January when all I want to do is hear him bitch about something...

This morning I heard rumblings of an article about the move that DEI made yesterday, hiring Max Seigal. I also heard that there was a remark made by Teresa Earnhardt about Dale Earnhardt, Jr. that was pretty interesting. So I found the article and I have to say, the first thing I did was laugh. Here's the quote about Dale Jr. by Teresa:
"Right now the ball's in his court to decide on whether he wants to be a NASCAR driver or whether he wants to be a public personality"
It's really laughable that Teresa would question anyone's desire in racing, considering she has shown less than stellar leadership in the face of the media, or anywhere else really...

This is going to be a quick post but I just wanted to talk about this because it's pretty cool.
It seems the Earnhardt clan has, again, made a great decision that is breaking boundaries in the NASCAR world.
DEI announced today that they have hired Max Seigal as head of Global Operations. Seigal is the former Zamba Label Group/Sony BMG executive, responsible for the production of artist like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. (!!!) Erm... sorry.

So, I reached the height of my nerd-dom... again. I hit up the library, (if they had a gold card for that place, I'd have one) and got a few books the other day. I found some interesting books, so I started reading them last night and the next thing I know I looked up and the sun was coming up. That's right, I read through the night and didn't realize it until 6 am. Needless to say, RC is running on an alarmingly low amount of rest today. But I'm still kickin', so let's see what's been going on...
Jimmie Johnson broke his wrist while riding...

Hey everybody, I'm just checking in to let you know that Meme and I are, in fact, still alive and well. I've just had a crazy busy weekend, and I know Meme has too, so we haven't had time to blog.
