Three people taught Linda at a Christmas Eve party in Guatemala. Lindsay was inspired to pick it up in Ibiza, Spain.
They both returned to their hometown of Toronto, but they had no one to play with. So, they went to the magical Home of Poi website, clicked on "meet others" and one warm, summer night, six people met in a park to spin. Lindsay, Linda and Paddy continued to meet in the park. Others came. Later a magician named Davy arrived with green fire and there were experiments with sparkler poi

Lindsay and Linda spun in the park and at the Promise Cherry Beach parties on Sunday.

In September, Davy organized a bunch of spinners (Paddy, Scott, Nancy, Linda and Lindsay) to light the bonfire at the Harvest Festival.

In October, 2002, Lindsay, Linda and Davey had their first paying poi gig. Zero Gravity Circus booked them to spin black light poi for the Guvernment Nightclub's Anniversary party.

In February of 2003, Linda and Lindsay performed at the Dragonball, with Davy and Frank,"the Firefly", an experienced fire artist who taught them alot about performance and fire safety. It was another Zero Gravity gig.

In May of 2003, Lindsay and Linda made a fire spinning video for the world-wide Home of Poi video competition. The Fire Sisters were born. They won second place out of 35 finalists from 13 countries.
They still spun for fun at the Promise Cherry Beach parties.

In the fall, the sisters made fire fans and performed on the TV show "The Toronto Show".

Over the winter they performed on Breakfast Television and at the first Wintercity Festival with Zero Gravity. They spun with Davy and Frank.
In 2004, the Firesisters made a second video with special guest Paddy. They did three person moves including the "corkscrew" and the "weave".They won third place.

In June, Davy, the founder of the Circular Fusion Fire Spinning Dance Troup, organized a one hour fire show for the Om festival. Scott and the Firesisters made a fire sun sculpture. Paddy, Lindsay and Linda performed with Hula Hoop Lindsay, Nancy and Scott.

In 2005, Linda and Lindsay performed with Rebecca from Circus Orange.

Zero Gravity rented out an old theatre, named it the Centre of Gravity and started having open juggling nights. Lindsay and Davy started teaching classes. Later, Davy went to China and Ron started teaching.
In 2006, Linda and Lindsay made a black light video for Circles of Light 2006, performed at many festivals, events, receptions and clubs and participated in Nancy's fire wedding ceremony at the Centre of Gravity.
