Ray has a new band to go live!
NICK TACCORI on drums, PAOLO LEGRAMANDI on bass, ALESSANDRO PASINI on guitar.
The show sounds great, it includes songs from the debut album Recusant and previously unreleased material. And obviously a hand-picked selection of great covers.
Make sure you get a chance to see Ray Tarantino and his band perform.
Enjoy vegetables :)

Recorded @ Massive Arts, Valeze, GaluminumFoil. Mixed @ Massive Arts. Mastered @ Massive Arts.
5 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING (Music and Lyrics: Ray Tarantino, 2008 MassiveArts/SonyMusicPublishing) Lost in a land of meager skies and slander Betting on the best of my anarchy Walk by the wall if you're a dreamer then I'll call To share your sweet insanity The King Of The Tamed has Jesus on a Dutch Date Swears he's lost the game Counting every grain of dust under the rain he's crying But watch him do it again Feel I could go now CHORUS: Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Down on my knees – getting me down Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Shame on you shame on me too They say the world's evolving around a star that's burning But what I feel is winter breeze Blown on the backbone I'm waiting for a new clone But what I get is not what I've grown How could I die before I hear and clear the lies They said to me? The President Of Games has gained control again and how He wants to do it again Feel I could go now CHORUS: Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Down on my knees – getting me down Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Shame on you shame on me too MID EIGHT: My head is filled with dreams and reason I'm forced to blow the shaft of enemies I need some friends or some pure remedies Or hear a voice of vanity That's calling me to go... CHORUS: Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Down on my knees – getting me down Five o'clock in the morning – getting me down Shame on you shame on me too

"J. has a true musical soul and I heard it blast out from the first song we tried, we might go down the acoustic way just to show what a voice can do.." Ray

Ray Tarantino - Recusant - In his debut album, Recusant, Italian-born Ray Tarantino presents smoky-edged vocals reinforced by excellent piano and guitar playing. A strong album, Recusant has virtually no weaknesses. Reminiscent of Bob Dylan, both in vocal technique and poetic lyrics, Tarantino is clearly an up-and-coming musician.
Tarantino opens Recusant with its title track, "Recusant," a piano-driven track that takes advantage of simple melodic techniques. With its clever use of octaves, particularly in the piano, and full accompaniment, "Recusant" is on the same musical plane as tracks from bands like Coldplay and U2.
"So Easy," a seemingly uncomplicated track that finds an easy groove, and "Some Kind of Sweet Love," a sensitive blues-like ballad dominated by piano, showcase Tarantino's rough vocals.
One of the best tracks on Recusant is "Riding Rhymes." Tarantino dabbles in straight rock, and his use of guitar propels the track forward. In truth, "Riding Rhymes" is a hit.
Tarantino should be commended for his catchy and creative introductions, and his rich vocals are surprisingly appealing. Recusant is an excellent debut album, one that should, by all rights, fly off the shelves.

Delmar Brown is one of the world’s most talented musicians, having performed with amazing artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, The Rolling Stones and Sting, and having supported his own solo career with great live shows and compositions throughout the years... His new studio project Inner Spirit (now available on ITunes) features great songs written by Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley,Mavin Gaye, James Taylor and Sam Cooke.. The featured single is the song "Your Heart, My Heart" written by Ray Tarantino. «The songs that have been chosen for the record, and that will be played during the "Inner Spirit Tour", are meant to give us all a moment to think, feel, heal, and take action about what we are and where we are as humans in the world today. The time has come for us all to take the responsibilty to heal the wounds of the inner spirit in us all.» (Delmar Brown) «When I heard about the project Delmar was working on I felt I could find a way to relate, its amazing to write a song and then hear it performed with such grace and perfection» (Ray Tarantino)

OK this is the deal... there's cameras almost everywhere now, treating everyone like potential criminals... now, this can be good for some reasons but its sad too... so there's a choise to make, to be seen because there's something to say or do, because there's desire to be seen, and not because we're being watched... where's freedom gone? Slowly drowning... and we've lost touch...
That's simply the whole point of those 5 seconds of recusancy... that's all... we don't like being watched unless we choose to be seen...
Ray
