Volunteers needed for Trash for Trees!!!

Trash for Trees, a community recycling drive nearing 30 years of history is this Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-4pm. This event brings recycling to the Helena community and a need for you support as a volunteer.

Please come join SAVE and Growing Friends at the Northgate Plaza/Good Samaritan parking lot to help out with this is recycling event!   We will be recycling just about everything--plastics, aluminum, tin, paper, cardboard and glass the one change from previous years is we will not be taking phone books.  In the past this event has been very popular, so we'll certainly be able to use all the help we can get.

Any amount of time that you can give is greatly appreciated.  There are also volunteer opportunities the hours prior and proceeding the event. This is a great opportunity to learn about recycling and help educate the community.

Tasks range from greeting and directing, to helping folks with their recyclables. If you have anymore questions feel free to call us at 449.6008 or reply to this email with the specific time that you would like to help. Thanks!

Current mood:  accomplished
Hello All!

This Friday 3pm-7pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, S.A.V.E. and community
partners will hold
our annual electronics recycling event, Erase Your Ewaste! We could
really use your help! If you have a couple of hours this weekend,
please give us a call or email! From experience, we have 4 main
categories that we need volunteer help in:

-Greeting (2 people)
-Inventory of Vehicles (around 3 people - ones that are good at
recognizing electronics)
-Unloading of Vehicles (about 5-6 people - strong ones, preferably)
-Palletizing of Electronics (6 volunteers - strength is a must, as well).

Of course we will also need help with set-up and tear-down of the
event. It would be best if volunteers could stay the whole length of
the event, or for at least 3-4 hours. We will have food and drinks for
volunteers! We would like to do a volunteer orientation/training on
Thursday night at 7:30. Please let me know if you are able to help out
or if you have any questions, call 449-6008 or email
savepolicy@gmail.com. We really appreciate your time!!
