Doubletake on Elliot Spitzer-

..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

As you heard, the Governor and former Attorney General of New York was linked to a prostitution ring… specifically, a whore named Kristen yesterday.  He then came out and apologized to his family and constituency for letting them down.  Now, there are a lot of ways to look at this story of infidelity and hypocrisy… but I want to focus on the "victim" of this ordeal…"The Little Mrs."

At the press conference, like many press conferences with cheating high profile men before it… he spoke, as she stood by his side.  Now she didn't look happy, but she did indeed, stand by her man.

STOP DOING THAT!!!

When is some high profile woman, finally going to stick up for herself and her family and leave these rich douche bags?? (cough… Hilary Clinton) and you wonder why men continue to act like this.  It basically says, if you make enough cash; you can do just about anything to me, as long as I can still shop at Versace.

Here's the macro picture of this… until high profile women stop playing the role of victim, and start holding the men in their life accountable for their disgraceful actions…there will never be a perception of equality between men and women.

I can see the billboard now…"Victims Love Versace!"

All in all, the coverage of NOLA was pretty strong for the NBA Allstar festivities.  They painted a picture of the city that was a little more representative of reality.  Yes, there are still impoverished areas and yes people are now fleeing their "ever so scure" FEMA trailers because the fumes are slowly killing them.  But all in all... New Orleans is truly an amazing place with an energy unlike anywhere in the world.  The passion people have for living in the cresent is unmatched and I think it was protrayed favorably on TV.

Plus, we only had 98 arrests that could be connected with the All Star Game!  We kept it under 100!  YEH!!!!
