Dear Friends,
We're very happy to announce that our latest single, Jars of Clay, is doing well on the radio; in its first week it has entered the Maltese top 10 at 7, the XFM charts at 25, Bay charts at 31. It has also been chosen as an XFM X-track, so thanks for that guys.
But the good news is that we're giving it away, free, from our myspace! Just click 'download' in the music player. We also hope you like the very "jarry" artwork for the song...
Also, today Joe and Jan will be on air on Captain Drew's Flight Home on Bay Radio, so make sure you check them out. Unless you're too busy playing your brand new download =)
That's all for now,
Salt

Salt have won the award for Best Newcomer at the BMAs, thanks a lot to those who supported us along the way; a day short of a year since we launched our album this was just amazing! We also really want to say a special thank you to Dean, without whose input Salt wouldn't be the band it is today- thanks Dean!

Current mood: enthralled
Ok there folks,
I'm very sorry to have left you myspace friends in ignorant oblivion for so long, but after the launch on the 13th of, ahem, last month, we were busy focussing on the rest of our life that couldn't be ripped as an MP3, played on a HIFI etc.
So, the launch.
It was great, we had 300 of you packing up Castille Wine Vaults to the seams and we also loved the way in which you were singing along to the songs.
You might not know, however, that during the last song in souncheck (which was YOU), the power decided to leave the building, and we were left high and dry.
However, after some well informed grappling in the dark, we managed to find out the fault, and the evening proceeded verrrryyy smoothly. We also sold some CDs, and deafened some people in the front rows. Sorry...
We should be gigging quite soon now, so pleeease stay tuned.
God bless you all,
Salt

Thank God, the album as songs is ready, the CD is at the duplicators and finally Mr Cezek can get some sleep, and some of us can start attending lectures again. So that means.... that we DO have an album! See, we weren't kidding!

For all of you faithful who had a look at the Sunday Square today, no, we haven't changed our album name from behind your back. And no, the single you bought wasn't called hope and Truth either, it was called Want to Be With You... Wait, that's our NEW single. Anyways, you catch our drift....

So, its been a while since we updated, however this while has been full of activity:
Artwork, by Matthew Grima, has been finalized and the sleeve sent for print. That's one thing sorted. Another thing is the music itself; all songs have been mixed and mastered, all that remain are a few touches here and there courtesy of the complaints us picky lot have in the regards of The Man.
and, dadada.....
The album is being launched on the 13th December, at Castille Wine Vaults, Valletta, which apart from being uber-cool, also has excellent acoustics, so if anyone asks, that's our excuse... ahem, reason
Today was a really busy day, we were busy shooting an interview at Doyaya, so thanks a lot to Geri, Maria and Glorianne for helping out.
Until next time,
Salt

Now then, artwork for the album is currently under way, with the poor designer wishing he was never born and never having made that career choice. We're not quoting him mind you, so we're not sure if this is true or not. We hope that everyone likes the final product.
Also, we'd like to have some feedback from you, our friends. If you do have any photos, bootlegs, whatever, kindly share them with us as we need such material for future projects.
Tata!
