The Retreat, Ledbury is preparing for Thursday's return of The Whizzers!

After what seems like an eternity stuck in the rehearsal studio writing new stuff & recording, the Whizzers are back on the road! The Retreat in Ledbury is the atmospheric setting for the first night of this monumental tour (2 nights does just about qualify for a tour). With support from Birmingham's finest pop celebrity and part-time chaffinch The Offal Club, you WILL be left feeling like a natural woman. If you're asking for more, and really you shouldn't, Lancashire is sending down it's finest purveyors of pop and roll The Film Extras!! It's the first time they've graced the Ledbury streets since The Plough shut! There'll be enough talent on that stage to launch a rocket. It all kicks off at 8pm Thursday 9th of April and pinch yourself, it's free!!
Part two of the treacherous trek sees us return to our spiritual Bristol home, The Louisiana for a Saturday night headline extravaganza with Call The Doctor & 1 more band tbc as support. The last time we played there, the place was literally rocking! You had to see it to believe it, so get your arses down there for Saturday 18th of April £4.

Just heard from the Brunswick, Gloucester that they're cancelling all forthcoming gigs including ours on Nov 21st! When they get up and running again, we'll rebook it and let you know.

RETURN OF THE THING
After a bit of a break Billy Whizz are back with a new line-up.   Andrew has left as he's living too far away (Manchester), but will still be doing the band artwork, and hopefully be involved in future happenings.   Tim has left (he's far too punk!) and new drummer Kev Jarvis has settled in quickly and plays on the new single:                         NEW SINGLE!!!     
 "Shellsuit Mothers/Sasquatch"  The new songs will soon be available as a free download prior to official release.

We are having a bit of a break thru december and new year - Foxy is moving house and the rest of us are taking it easy.

It's just as well we haven't got anything booked for this month as I've drilled a hole in my finger and can't play the guitar at the moment - even to my usual low standard.

Andrew is currently busy penning the billy whizz christmas message which will be posted over the festive period - enthusiasm permitting
