Hello everyone.

I am so sorry for posting my blogs on facebook. They have disabled my account (for what i believe is having a name other than your own) so its very dissapointing to say the least. I am dj bnutz whether they like it or not.

Hope everyone out there is good and had better shows than I did on Sat. I mean, everyone else killed it and more but I felt like my hands were on backwards!!

See you soon,

jay

Hello 2008. Pushing to 2088.
Played the Black Dog for NYE and got to dj for Moka Only. Nuff Said. That was an experience. Moka plays a mean synth and even busted out a cover of 'Head over Heels'. Thanks to Pete and everyone that made the night a success. If you missed out, there are a bunch of shows coming up for you.
This week I picked up a new Rane mixer and Serato. Its going to take me a while but it will 'significantly alter the way you dj'. At least thats what the pros say. Sunday the 21st I will be playing to the Staff at the APK. We have a new sound system so expect better sound and new new new records from Freek and Bnutz.
Shirts are on the way and a cd cover is almost done..now if I could only get audio to go with it.. Dj Hullewud will have more shirts for sale as well.
Eazy living everyone,
bnutz

I'M IN A STORE AND I'M SINGING...I'M IN A STORE AND I'M SINGING!

just had to sing that this morning..

I havent updated my blog or this group in so long. I guess thats a good sign as ive been too busy to do anything but work, dj, sleep, repeat. Ive even been opening records (again) while im djing.

Looking for another set of technics turntables if anyone out there can help me out. Please.

As far as past weeks....We hosted The Soundcatcher Tour at the Alex P Keaton with DJ Vadim, Yarah Bravo and Abstract Rude..OK Cobra (Fritz tha Cat) and I opened the show. It was cool to see a bunch of cats from out of town make the show and to those that called the bar the day of the show....NEXT TIME DON'T SLEEP! We sold out with 2 weeks left. I think the show was a real success. To visualize it for you...Imagine Vadim djing and warming up the crowd to see Abstract Rude and Yarah Bravo come to the entrance so we can just see them... Vadim fades out the track to bring in the synth only portion of 'Terrorist'. I think we all went crazy and jumped up and down..After that he dropped the track and out came Ab and Yarah. Wow. What a moment there. Not only was the show an intimate view of classic hiphop talents, Vad, Yarah and Ab are all very cool people and made us all feel like family. Thanks to all those that brought the show together and those that supported from day one. You are all awesome.

Last week brought the Busdriva and Hullewud out to the Alex P Keaton to help DJ Freek and I with our Awesome Thursday duties. Bus dropping the funk and soul? Yeah, think amazing dancefloor action at 11pm.
Strange. Hullewud with the old-school electro.. I really hope he brings more of that this week..

I also had the second installment of M.T.H.R.F.C.K.R.S.(held the first friday of every month, brought to you by the fine people ove at Echelon) over at Pandemic with Mark the Mechanic. We had Busdriva and (London DMC Champion) Milla on as special guests and DJ Freek saved the day with a D&B set when we had to go grab some technical gear we forgot. Thanks to Freek and best wishes to him as he recovers this week.
There was also an OK Cobra show at the Salt Lounge that same night.. We were opening for the Salads (Thanks for the beer guys) and that meant stealing a turntable off of our stage at Pandemic (we rock 4 turntables anyways) and walking it through our modest crowd, down the stairs, out the front door, across King St., through the parking lot, accross King St., though the line at the Salt Lounge and into the Green Room to get ready to rock. Whew! I made it in one piece and most of my gear as well (i did have to run back once to get my cables!). So we go up there and do well. Fritz was awesome in all his stage glory. It was more of a rock crowd but it went well.. Also was my first visit to the Salt Lounge... Nice spot! Loud!! After the show, I met up with a couple that helped me carry my stuff back to Pandemic, to do our BUSNUTZ set (me and Busdriva) and had a smoke on them. Cool folk right there. As I ventured back into Pandemic, I realize its relitively packed and everyone is dancing. Mark never fails. Hes got the skills and the tracks. Me and Bus rode the wave he had created. It was nice.
Funny thing happened in the bathroom..im pissing there, kind of small talking with the dude next to me and he says 'Yeah! I just got back from smoking one with Bnutz!' and i look at him like 'hey yo! im Bnutz!' and he realizes he had just spent 20 min helping me get my gear back to the club! Ahhh funnies.

And tonight! Im at the Keaton With the one and only Patrick the Bunny. Ive been trying to keep up with my selections this week as I know he will be bringing only the tastiest jams to dance to.

So, I will see you all soon, there are many shows coming up and I will try to keep you all informed.

Stress? What stress?

Im such a geek.

Anyways we have been playing quite frequently lately...the new mixtape is almost finished (its been recorded...its live) and we are set to embark to NYC to play at The Knitting Factory! OK Cobra is opening (Fritz tha Cat and Recordface) but I will be manning the turntables for the group again for this amazing show.

We get to open for Schoolly D and RA the Rugged Man, which is so dope.

Obvious batman.

We played Bayfield the other night and enjoyed a kick ass line up crowd with MC's Wordburglar, Toolshed, Thesis Sahib, Wiseboys and of course, Fritz tha Cat. The show was crazy, the recording session before was crazy and the after party(ies) were crazy as well. Big ups to Peter for hosting such a great event and Andi for playing such a great host.

OK..back to life.....back to reality.. See you at the Keaton.
