Family is important. A family is a group of people that you love no matter what and that you share more of your life with than anyone else. Brothers are arguably the closest form of family. Brothers go through stuff together, they fight, they hate each others' guts and they want to kill each other sometimes, but they have a stronger bond than anyone. Sometimes you get sick of your family. You get mad at your brothers. And sometimes, if you're really dumb, you leave home and try to find something else. But you can never really leave your family. You can quit being friends, you can argue and piss and moan and complain and fight, but you can never quit being brothers. And you can never escape home for very long.

hello everyone
what happened to Get Down!
well after writing the last blog saying how happy we all were, well lmao, i think 2 days after, our drummer left lmao
ya i know
something and someone is always going magoo on us, its crazy... Yay for immaturity! :)

anyway....
we are currently trying out drummers
we are also writing our next ep
and we have a few songs allready written, we have millions of ideas, and well, without a set drummer its hard to play the new songs live....... :( :( :(
but i promise you, we are gonna have a come back show and play a couple new songs for you all

we have a new ep coming in 09!!!
and A big tour coming to you this summer,and we will post that soon!!!!

its announced, after working everything out, tristan is back in the band
we are kids, we are immature, we get in fights lol, needless to say, everything is back to where it was, we have zach kurmel, playing bass, welcome him to the get down! family, he is awesome, we have known him for a while, and welcome tristan back in the band!

everything is going great, we are writing songs for our new ep!!!!!
we have some fun little stuff coming your way
we are going to release an online only EP, titled, Sooo Sexy It Hurts, its a bunch of accoustic songs and techno remixes, old and new songs!!

and we also have the privelage to be on a Xmas comp, itunes only, with The J.V Allstars, they are all original songs, and its gonna be awesome!!! so check that out, it will be released in early December!!!!

last night, we played the funnest worst show ever
our friend elise helped us out last night, and sang for us, she did amazing, you did such a great job!!!
me(nick) and alex's guitar cables both went out at the same time, so for half of the set, it was just drums, vocals and bass
for us, everything that could of went wrong went wrong
we wanted to say thank you to everyone there last night cause you really made our night, when you all were singing along, it was sooo amazing, we all got chills, and even though it was our worst show, playing wise, you made it into the best show we have ever played, it was sooo much fun, hanging out and meeting all of you, and the bands were super amazing and super fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are writing a new EP
we will play some new songs soon, trust me, me want to play our new stuff sooooo bad, but without a vocalist, its kind of, ummmm blah hahahaha :)
but no worries, we are gonna jam a new song soon

Get Down!

Our show on August 30th with Go Crash Audio is going to be the official FUN IN THE SUN 2008! This means bring waterwings, blow-up palm trees, swim shorts, summer gear, goggles, and anything else you can think of! Ladies, bikinis probably aren't the best plan for a show and dudes, please keep your shirts on! Other than that, have all the fun you want and let's make this year's Fun In The Sun even better than last year's!
