As a few of you may know and most don't and won;t give a damn...but it's my page so I get to say what I want...HORTUS ANIMAE, which was one of my main projects back in Europe, is celebrating the 10th year anniversary...actually, we're past 10 years now but we're still celebrating !

For the occasion, a special edition box-set containing 2 CDs, shirt, mug, pins, cards and goodies of various sorts...has been released worldwide by Sleaszy Rider / EMI records...

Reviews of thi bix-set are pouring in, also thanks to the high cult status that this band managed to stir up with only 3 releases before the music biz and life drove us to close the activities...

A special website has been creted for this event and fans can send in their photos with Hortus Animae material to be posted.

We have a few special guests on there including Aphazel of Ancient and Aaron of My Dying Bride.

Below you can find the link to the first StarXCel show of WSRADIO-LA...

Grom has begun collaboration as a guest-host for the Los Angeles based radio station WS RADIO.
The show in particular is called STAR-XCEL and has the purpose to serve as a launching pad for international artists. With reporters and hosts from around the globe, including Sidney, Manchester and various lcoations in th U.S., this show will prove to be a great and fun vehicle for new artist exposure.

Hey everyone.
Been offline for a while but busy in the studio this month.

Aside from various Demo recordings for artists around the U.S...I've been working on completing the writing of the John Paul Band album, which should be completely recorded, mixed and mastered by the end of the summer. It's turning out fabulous...so stay tuned.

A few more things in the works...so more as it unfolds.

Hey guys...
been off the radar for a while as you may have noticed...

Working on a series of things.

Except for a few shows with Antonio Pontarelli, more to come...I have been busy in the studio with a few projects.

Working on a funk/rock project with Xavier j.Nathan, singer/songwriter and actor (recently in Angels & Demons...). Writing and rehearsing songs for teh recording of the debut album...

I have also been wokring with Arke of Opposite Sides for the next album...yes...new one was released 2 months ago and we already have the next !

The mix is done and only mastering is left...let me tell you this one rocks serious ass. Different, a lot less extreme than 'Soul mechanics' and much more contemporary...I feel it's one of the best albums i've worked on to date...very challenging to record but it paid off.

Maybe we will have some sneak previews soon...

Also...busy in the studio, yet again, with the John Paul Band...we're compelting the album which ahs already been recorded at about 75%. 3-4 songs missing and then it's down to the mix and master. Shouldn;t take too long for the release...and tehre will be a release party held in L.A. All in good time...

So as you see...tons of studio and creative work these past 6 months...

Hey everyone...
I had a few hours today and decided to go visit the sites of old friends and see what they are up to...
In doing so, I stumbled across many things that made me feel very sad.

In occasion of the 10th anniversary of HORTUS ANIMAE, the band has released a limited edition box-set, "Funeral Nation" (cynically referred to the music industry...).
To my amazement and re-enforcing my nostalgic feelings about my career, the interest and response has been touching. Fans all over the world posted blogs, sent mails, signed my guestbook and that of the band...magazine got in touch with Martyr (vocalist) for interviews...all this re-surfacing the fact of how promising this band really was and how it was slashed down by the filth that makes up the music industry.

For those of you who don;t know, Hortus Animae was probably the most heartfelt band that I have ever been in. A group of true friends writing, recording and releasing music that has now achieved "cult" status in the emtal underground. Unfortuantely though as it often happens, talent and chemsitry do not cut it in the music industry and due to hardships we were discouraged and forced to call it quits.

In face of the recent re-surfacing of interest towards the band, I wish to extend my most felt "thank you" to ALL that supported us and still do...you were many and have touched our lives even if we are no longer active...maybe one day we'll return...who knows. It is emotionally touching to see the people we inspired and touched with our music. i thank my band mates, distant friends that I never forget, for what was an incredible journey...
