Hey Everyone.
.. ..
I wanted to let you know that I will be playing my last solo
show of the year at the CAC in New Orleans.
.. ..
Wednesday, Dec. 9th. 8:00 pm.....
Contemporary Arts
Center....
900 Camp St. NOLA 70130....
.. ..
.. ..
This is a very special show because it is a benefit for a
local puppet theatre company--
HI-YAH! Productions. They
are working on an incredible interactive children’s show, based on Roald Dahl’s
Fantastic Mr. Fox. All of
the money from the CAC show is going to make sure at-risk children can go to
the show for free. I hope you come
out and help support this fantastic puppet company- (some of their work will be
on display at the concert and it is sure to amaze….I’ve even helped sew some of
the costumes myself )
.. ..
It’s a pretty small theatre so I suggest that you order your
tickets now. And please tell all
of your friends!

Here is a link to the box office to buy Tickets:

Happy
Thanksgiving!

Hej och Hopp,
The first leg of my Swedish tour was awesome. We started on the west coast of Sweden and have now moved on to Gotland. (The biggest island and the most popular vacation spot in the country, also happens to be where I'm from.) Next is Stockholm and the prestigious Stockholm Jazz festival.
"Hummingbird, Go!" had it's Swedish release about a month ago on Playground Records and is already hitting the charts. I am thrilled to tell you that the shows over here are selling out and we've had to add more shows. A nice problem, right!
I'll keep you posted.

Hey y'all,
While I was in LA for the Craig Ferguson show I popped in to the ever awesome and supportive radio station KCRW for a 40 min interview/performance on the "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show. Every day there's artists like Zap Mama, Bela Fleck, Moby, Loney Dear and more on the show. To check out my performance just look on my myspacepage and there's a video link right there...

Trashy Diva is what I'm wearing on the Craig Ferguson show. It's cool, actually it's a privilage because the creator, Candice Gwinn, is right here in New Orleans. I love her vintage inspired designs. I can relate to the name as well. Diva - inspired by strong female vintage starlets such as Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. Trashy - taking something old and unwanted, making it beautiful and stylish. Also representing the girl who doesn't always follow the rules.....see where I'm going with this? If you are not in New Orleans you can check out the line here; www.trashydiva.comAs always I am sporting jewelry from Tina Stanley www.marsviolet.net also a New Orleans girl. Tina's collections really appeal to me because of her way of combining her own handmade links with antique silver links. They are very "collagy" which makes sense to me. You've seen me wear her stuff in every picture... Have fun looking at all these beautiful creations by awesome NOLA women! Theresa

Hey Everyone, I wanted to let you know about my Jazz Fest night shows. I will be performing my solo show both Sundays of Jazz Fest. Here are the details: First WeekendSunday April 26 at the Contemporary Arts Center900 Camp StNew Orleans, LA 701308pmThis is sort of a dream come true for me. When I first came to New Orleans I saw Germain Bazzle (w/ Brian Blade) play in this theatre during Jazz Fest, and was blown away. Not only by the actual performance, but by how dynamic they sounded in a theatre. The acoustics are great, and the theatre is in the Contemporary Arts Center- so you pretty much have to walk thru a series of hanging glass art installations to get there- like something out of a frozen dream. Seating is very limited. If you're interested, I do suggest you pre-order. To pre order- CLICK HERE or call the box office on (504) 528-3800Second WeekendSunday May 3 at Le Petit Theatre (with John Boutte)616 Saint Peter StNew Orleans, LA 701168:30pmOK- This is going to be amazing! First of all, this performance takes place in Le Petit: one of the oldest theatres in the country, and, yes, the theatre's haunted! It's located directly across the street from St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter. Even more special is the fact that John Boutte will be opening the show. For those of you who don't know him, what can I say?-- John is my favorite singer in New Orleans-hands down! He is like a male, Nina Simone. Just an amazing, soulful artist. He'll be playing a 45 minute set to open the show. To pre order- CLICK HERE or call the box office on (504) 522-2081Also, my actual Jazz Fest Performance is on Thursday Apr 30th at 12:45pm. I think that about does it. Thanks again to everyone who came out to my March shows, and I hope to see you again soon! Theresa
