Tons of new HorrorHound announcements - as the Haunting Season hits its peak!!!

We are excited to announce that the brand-new HorrorHound Weekend website has launched, featuring NEW guest additions for Cincinnati's HorrorHound Weekend event - happening on November 20-22nd at the Sheraton Cincinnati North - as well as the NEW "HHW" Indianapolis website - featuring our first guest announcements! NEW GUESTS for Cincinnati's HHW event include Electra and Elisa Avellan (the Crazy Babysitter Twins from Grindhouse) and James Duval (Donnie Darko, Go, ID4, May) who will all be joining Sean Clark (Horror's Hallowed Grounds) on-stage for a special panel and Q&A starting at 4:45, Saturday November 21st at HorrorHound Weekend! On top of this - Eileen Dietz (The Exorcist) has also been added to the line-up, which is already boasting some of the biggest icons in the horror industry - including Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Gunnar Hansen (The original Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Courtney Gains and John Franklin (Children of the Corn's Issac and Malachai), Quinn Lord (the iconic Sam from Trick 'r Treat), Jenny Wright (Near Dark - in her first convention appearance), Michael Gross (Tremors, Family Ties), and a special Night of the Creeps cast reunion - featuring Jason Lively, Jill Whitlow, Steve Marshall and the living-legend, Tom Atkins (The Fog, Halloween 3, Creepshow). FILM FESTIVAL details have also been revealed as HorrorHound Weekend Cincinnati will be screening a number of exciting new films! The HHW Film Fest has, in the past, screened such gems as Let the Right One In, Inside, REC., Black Sheep, Dance of the Dead and Martyrs. We are very happy to announce that living legend, Gunnar Hansen, has been added to our bolstered HorrorHound Weekend Cincinnati line-up! Gunnar, who played Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, will be joining such icons as Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Tom Atkins, John Franklin, Courtney Gains, Don Calfa and Quinn Lord (not an icon? Check out Trick 'r Treat - on DVD TOMORROW - and you be the judge!!!) just to name a few.

Outside of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Gunnar has appeared in a number of exciting films over the years, including Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Campfire Tales, Mosquito, Hellblock 13, Chainsaw Sally, Murder-Set-Pieces, and Brutal Massacre. We are excited to announce that we have finally confirmed the appearance of Don Calfa at this November 20-22nd's Cincinnati HorrorHound Weekend event!

Don Calfa is most well known for his role as Ernie - the Mortician - in the 1985 zombie classic - Return of the Living Dead. And has appeared in a number of memorable films ranging from Weekend at Bernie's, Necronomicon, and Chopper Chicks in Zombietown to Bugsy, Running Scared, 1941, New York, New York, The Man Who Wasn't There, Me, Myself and I, Stay Tuned, Progeny, Night Creep, and Private Eye (just to name a few).

Don joins an already packed show featuring the likes of Elvira, Quinn Lord (Trick 'r Treat's Sam), Scout Taylor-Compton, Tom Atkins and Michael Gross. We are very happy to announce the addition of Scout Taylor-Compton to our Cincinnati HorrorHound Weekend guest list! Scout is most well known for her portrayal as Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie's re-imagining of Halloween (and star of the upcoming sequel, H2). On top of Halloween - Scout has appeared in a number of films and recurring roles in popular TV shows - such as Charmed, Gilmore Girls, 13 Going on 30, After Dark HorrorFest's Wicked Little Things, the 2008 remake of April Fool's Day, Obsessed (just released to DVD), and the upcoming film, Murder World.

We are very happy to announce that two of the most iconic characters from Stephen King's filmography have been confirmed as guests for HorrorHound Weekend Cincinnati - taking place at the Sheraton Cincinnati North on November 20-22nd, 2009! Both Courtney Gains (Malachai) and Jonathan Franklin (Issac) of Children of the Corn fame will be attending the event all three days -meeting fans, signing photos and taking pics!



Jonathan Franklin, in a rare convention appearance, has starred in a number of films over the years. On top of playing the sinister leader of the child cult, Issac, in Children of the Corn (and its 1999 sequel, Children of the Corn 666: Issac's Return (in which be also wrote)), Jonathan has also worked on such films as Child's Play, Python, Killing Grounds, Wag the Dog, and portrayed Cousin Itt in both Addam's Family, and Addam's Family Values.

Courtney Gains, a fan favorite, played the psychotic red headed Malachai in Children of the Corn instantly making the term "Outlander" just downright scary. Outside of "Corn," Courtney has had a very healthy career in cinema, appearing in dozens of exciting films over the years. Including Back to the Future, Hardbodies, Can't Buy Me Love, The 'burbs (as the creepy Hans Klopek), Memphis Belle, Behind Enemy Lines, Sweet Home Alabama and Rob Zombie's Halloween!

Thrill Me! Tom Atkins has finally informed HorrorHound that he is on board for HorrorHound Weekend Cincinnati - taking place over the weekend of November 20-22nd, 2009! Tom is a horror legend, having appeared in such classics as Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Maniac Cop, George A. Romero's Creepshow, Bruiser, John Carpenter's The Fog, Escape from New York, and the recently-released My Bloody Valentine 3D (not to mention Lethal Weapon and Striking Distance)!

Tom also starred in the cult classic Night of the Creeps, which FINALLY hits DVD this October 19th, along with Jason Lively and Jill Whitlow - whom are also attending HHW this November making for one exciting Night of the Creeps reunion! We are thrilled to announce the additions of both Jenny Wright and Clayton Rohner to our Cincinnati HorrorHound Weekend lineup - scheduled for November 20-22nd, 2009 at the Sheraton Cincinnati North!



Jenny Wright is the star of the cult classic 1987 vampire film, Near Dark, where she played opposite Adrian Pasdar. One of the HorrorHound (and most horror fans) favorite genre films! Jenny also starred in 1989's I, Madman - opposite Clayton Rohner - another gem from the world of horror. Jenny's other roles included parts in Pink Floyd's The Wall, St. Elmo's Fire, Lawnmower Man and Young Guns II. Jenny has been gone from the world of cinema since 1998 and this will be her very first public appearance!

Clayton Rohner, as mentioned above, was the co-star of I, Madman, and appeared in a number of other memorable horror titles over the years ... including April Fools Day (1986), The Relic (1997) and Sometimes They Come Back ... for More (1998). Clayton's TV appearances include such shows as Murder One, G vs E, and Hill Street Blues. This will be one of Clayton's first convention appearances!
