This last week....Drift Effect did a show for Twin Cities Radio at The Corner Coffee in Minneapolis.  As with the previous show that these incredible guys did for us at Studio Three last year, this show was a sight to be seen.  The sound produced by the songs these guys put out was way past very good....A group of talented musicians/singers/songwriters who are on their way to National fame. Hats off to Drift Effect.........we love you here at Twin Cities Radio and are all about you.
Yasen Marie gave us their high spirited wonderful music again, like they always do.  It is so much fun just to be around these young women who are realitively new to the music scene here in Minneapolis......then they sing and play.  That is the topper.  Yasen Marie consistently perform at a very high level with scores of original songs.  Singers/songwriters as well as a delightful persona.
Our thanks to both Drift Effect and Yasen Marie who both consistently give only the very best to any audience that they perform in front of.  Twin Cities Radio encourages everyone to get out and go see both of these incredible groups and hear them live, where ever they perform.

The always lovely Annie Fitzgerald arrives in Minneapolis from her home in NYC for "An Evening With Annie Fitzgerald" on Twin Cities Radio on the Net, January 30, 2009.

Annie Fitzgerald will perform songs from her newest release......and her first EP.  This is a special show for Twin Cities Radio.  Annie was part of our "Live Sessions from A440 Studios" where her songs and personality won over our staff.  The staff of Twin Cities Radio and A440 Studios look back frequently to Annie's first performance with us.

I can hardly wait for January 30, 2009 to arrive.  Thank you Annie for being the most wonderful.

CopaSetic. I was excited the moment that CopaSetic agreed to perform their music.....acoustic for us on Twin Cities Radio. The real thrill was when this actually happened. DebraG and CopaSetic transformed all of their music to acoustic for this very special show on Twin Cities Radio at Vera's Cafe in Uptown.

I have always believed and held true that......true talent is shown by an artist or group that has the creative ability to bring their music....acoustic only. This night was no exception. The powerful vocals of DebraG along with the talent demonstrated by CopaSetic this night were a powerful example of the talent and skills developed by local and world class artists that I so admire.

This show was nothing short of incredible. The genuine personality of each group member shown through their music and interactions this night. Not only are DebraG and CopaSetic a prime example of talented and gifted artists....the personality of each group member shown like a star in the Minneapolis sky.  It was a wonderful night of great music and good people.

Hats off to CopaSetic and DebraG for being the fine artists that they are. Thank you.

Last night......September 6, 2008......at O'Garas in St Paul......I had the pleasure of seeing and listening to OCEANS perform.

A nice crowd had gathered at O'Garas for this show.  The stage was quiet as one by one the members of OCEANS walked onto the stage beginning their set with "The Other Side".  This very tight group of artists and their lead singer, Rhea gave the crowd a full set of all original songs performed expertly.  Delightful.

Two new songs, never performed in public were introduced to the crowd which further demonstrated the creative talent of this incredible group of musicians.  Strong vocals are not the only earmark of this group, it was evident by this performance the talent that awaits all who will come and listen.

OCEANS will again perform at O'Garas ....but this time for their CD Release Show on October 10, 2008.

OCEANS will perform their acoustic set for Twin Cities Radio at Vera's Cafe in Uptown on October 1...in advance of their CD Release Show.

If you happened to miss this performance. Don't feel too badly.....you will have another couple of chances real soon.

Sometimes when I hear a group or artist live and in person the music is not what I expected to hear.  This was not the case with OCEANS......it was excellent.

Thank you OCEANS for allowing Twin Cities Radio to play your music on our station....and for performing for us at Vera's Cafe on October 1, 2008.

Oh....they did perform my favorite....."Tall And Bulletproof".....thanks you guys.

Davina & The Vagabonds......

They rolled in.....keys, upright bass, brass and snare.  From that moment on, Davina & The Vagabonds took over the show.....incredibly so.  I was taken back.....laid back...and kicked up by each and every tune they did for us.

Those of you who did not make it down to Vera's Cafe for this show....well....you missed out big time.  Davina's vocals combined with this tight group of musicians with her makes me want Davina & The Vagabonds back every week.

It is nights like this that I will remember forever. It makes it all worth while.

Davina.......bravo....bravo

Our second show at The Brass Rail Minneapolis.  Exactly what we needed and were looking for.  milkbar came down to The Brass Rail Minneapolis and sang all of their original songs for us.  My favorite, of course, was STOP.

milkbar is precisely what Indie music is all about as far as I am concerned.  It was easy to see how much milkbar enjoys singing their songs.  Every time they played they gave off the fresh new energy that will carry them a long way. No attempt was made to sound like anyone else.  milkbar played the music they created with the "free spirit" that evoked their creations.

This was the first show that we taped using video and audio.  It was impossible to stream it and record it both at the same time due to some techical issues that are part of our evolution.  When asked if they minded being our first to video........they answered with music that I will look forward to seeing and hearing again and again.

Clips of this show will be displayed on several webs including Twin Cities Radio's web and myspace after editing.  The entire video will only be available by directly contacting milkbar.

Thank you for bringing us your songs.  milkbar can sing for us anywhere...anytime.
