Though the two fish have nothing to do with this blog... I couldn't think of a title. I'm working! I'm working! I've already begun modifications, image preparations, html and php to impliment a new site. I've also been getting around to updating things like myspace, facebook(I FOUND MY PASSWORD!) and reverbnation.

I keep finding I end up playing guitar when I start working on stuff, but thats okay! I've got some new things in the works because of it.

I've also made a change to my e-mail accounts. They will now be from jordanave.com instead of jordandoucette.com. My reasoning is that I know people have trouble spelling, let alone pronouncing my name. It's okay! I understand and I love you. So I made it easier.

Going to try and chill off now and get to bed early. I'm already tired and it's only 8:30pm! This is nuts.

It was soooo awesome to get out and play this weekend. I injured my tailbone during the week so sitting down has been a pain in the butt! Literally! It was so nice to get out for a while, play some tunes, and meet new people.

Friday I played at A&R's in Leominster. It's a great place! We watched the Red Sox kick it up a notch and walk away with the win. Sorry to the Yank fans! You gotta admit though, they have some of the best games together no matter who wins really!

We also won again on Saturday as I played at the Phoenix Bar and Grill in Shirley, MA. I've seen a lot of great reviews, but we were a bit late for the food! We'll have to go early next time and give it a try. The people were laid back and awesome. One women even came up to sing Bobby McGee with me. You could tell she really loved the song. Probably a bit tipsy too, but she was having a good time and she had a ride home. :-) I would have offered one myself. I don't like seeing people try to drive drunk!

More shows on the way soon. I'm just trying to deal witj the stress of missing class from the tailbone incident. They put me on some meds that knocked me out and then I saw my doc and they gave me a step down so I can function. Thank goodness! I don't like being a zombie!! It was my own fault though. Next time, I need to not walk backwards dragging something heavy and not look where I am going. :-P

Finals the first week of May, May 8th, I'm heading to Boston to catch some ROH. Love love love the wrestling.

I need to cool off so I can sleep. It's been so hot here!

A new law was passed in Massachusetts and all places were sent letters stating that in order to have any live entertainment at a venue(this includes DJ's too), their doorways much reach a new set standard of 72 inches. If they do not, a fire marshall must be payed to stay during any live entertainment.
It really sucks, but I will let you know what is going on with any other shows within the next few days. Sorry to disappoint guys!

I've got some shows coming up and should be adding more as I go. Shows for May will probably be changed depending upon when my finals are.  Which reminds me to tell you all. It's my third semester in college. Yes, there is a lot of homework, but I am enjoying my classes. Especially intro to sculpture. It's very relaxing after writing, reading, making programs and pumping iron(fitness class)!
 Right now, I haven't written much by way of songs. However, I have been dabbling here and there on the guitar trying some new things and taking people up on suggestions they have for me. I'm not really good at leads or scales, but I would like to learn them. Practice makes perfect right? I have trouble getting my fingers to move the way I want them. It reminds me of when I first started learning how to play actually.
I'm also in the process of moving. There are boxes all over the room and it is a mess! I hope to catch up on some cleaning during my break and pack some more stuff. Maybe I'll take it easy for the weekend before I get started. :-)
Oh yes, I'm taking suggestions of songs to cover. If you have an idea, throw it out there. Nothing is too outrageous. I cover Toxic by Britney Spears acoustically. It's a fun song to play and it's kinda sassy.
Since I haven't been updating a lot, I decided to make my website simple. More-so like an online presskit. I have the idea I want to try out, but have yet to start the project. Note that school comes first. Hopefully I'll have some time soon to go over it.
Jake has a video camera now and a digicam so we can take some pictures and videos to post up in the near future. Maybe you'll get a sneak peak of me running on the treadmill looking like a sweaty goofball! Hey, it's good for a laugh right? I will try to get some songs from performances and little tidbits about how I feel before and after a show. I actually get nervous now! I never use to. It's a whole new experience.
Wow, this is a long post. Maybe I'm making up for not posting in a while! I hope this tides you guys over.

I won't be around much for a week or so performing. I originally thought I had a minor throat irritation due to nasal drip (like when you get a cold). Two of my family members were sick with a cold, so I presumed thats what it was. Last night it turned into a stinging pain. This morning I went to the doctors right away. They noted it looked to be tonsilitis but did a culture for strep testing just in case. Either way, I'll be on antibiotics and a pain reliever for a good week or so.
So very sorry to anyone who was expecting me to play out! I was suppose to have a trial at A&R Pub, but that will be rescheduled after I start feeling better.

Not to offend anyone, so for those of you who celebrate or don't celebrate Christmas, I wish it in the sense of being together with your loved ones and giving to those less fortunate than you.

It would seem I have a bit of bad luck with shows and performing this month. Maybe it's good luck even! I'd like to try and be optimistic about it. There was a reason for the snow and ice.

The power went out some time in the early morning on the 12th. Actually, it was quite bad and I hear some places are still without power! The wonderful ice storm of 2008 caused me to cancel my show. Though I couldn't really do much about expressing that online without power. I do apologize for any troubles.

Then on the 19th, a snow storm swept the evening away with whiteout conditions. Jake was able to capture some lovely photos of this on Central Street in Gardner! I'll have to post them up sometime with his permission, of course. :-)

I still intend to play at Fenwick's on the 31st! Please feel free to come down unless we're encased in snow or ice! Then again, a shot or two could warm you right up. *wink* I also intend on playing there the 26th to hopefully make up for the missed shows due to the storm. If anyone would like to come out and attend this event, just let me know.
