Dear Everyone,

I realized that my web persona has been rather dormant lately. So, in attempts to avoid falling on the face of the planet, I've decided to post a little update blog entry to let you know what's going on.

It is perhaps premature to be declaring this, but... da da da: new music is in the works! Yes, I am in the process of recording a new album - or my first full-length record - with my brother. The groundwork has been laid, but it is a sloooow process, folks, with many obsticals to overcome. One being literal distance, as we are recording in Philadelphia (my home town!) and I, unfortunately, live in Pittsburgh (for the time being). Another is that everyone working on this project, including myself, has a day job. Hey, a guy's gotta eat! Regardless, I am really excited about these songs, and I have got some great ideas for this record. I can't wait to finish it and start a new chapter in my music career.

Another thing I would like to mention is booking shows. I know I have not been playing live very much lately. This is mostly due to a bit of discouragement I have felt from the music scene here. As many of you know, it is very difficult to get people to come to acoustic performaces in this town, especially with local, obscure artists like myself. This does not mean, however, that I have given up! So, if anyone out there is interested in teaming up and sharing audiences, please send me a message.

Oh, and anyone in the PHILADELPHIA region who is interested in doing a show, send me a message here on Myspace or info@alexpfundt.com.
