Current mood:  adventurous
We’ve been busy the last few months. Finished up our latest recording at the Salinas, CA chapter of The Flashcard Project and we’re feeling mighty good about how it turned out. We were lucky enough to have our good friend Aaron Estes help us out with the production/engineering this time around. With Aaron’s presence came many new ideas, sounds, and directions that ultimately resulted in what we’ve decided to name "Sharpen The Hours".

We’re excited to announce that "Sharpen The Hours" will be released on Three Ring Records this summer. Until then, you can purchase a limited edition copy of the new album here. Each copy bares a unique, handmade cover and special inserts. Only 200 copies will be available.

Lastly, we had ourselves a good old time playing in Jasper Jenning’s (Ben’s nephew) playroom for our latest batch of band pictures. You can see a few samples in our picture gallery.

We're getting back to business next month with a show in the city for the always amazing Mission Creek Festival. Check the show schedule for details.

Tracking is done for the new album! We've started the mixing process with our dear friend and technical genius, Aaron Estes. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a late summer release. No working title as of yet, but we're happy to say all the songs came out sounding lush, immediate, and full of tinkerings sure to please. Stay tuned for details...

We've been away for good reason. Team AOS has begun it's latest project. New sonic experiments, tinkerings, and twists are sure to please. Hopes are high for an early 2007 completion, so keep your ears to the ground.

We had some fun doing a short interview for Delphin Vigil's "Bandwidth" column in the San Francisco Chronicle a few weeks ago. You can check out the craziness here.

We've been lucky enough to be getting a few spins here and there on Live 105's Soundcheck lately. If you want those bad boys to keep sending us out over the airwaves, please drop Aaron Axelson a line via e-mail (aaron@live105.com) or phone (800.696.1053) and request "Feeding Tape". Yeah!!

hey folks-

we just finished up the new EP and it's on it's way to the magical land where giant machines press plastic into art, really small orange people sprinkle dust and chant strange things, and large wealthy men rub their hands together and think about grand plans.

well, anyway....it's done.  we'll have the finished copies in our possession in the next few weeks.  if you'd like to pre-order, send us an email.  they'll also be available at our EP RELEASE SHOW!!! (thurs, sept 1st at Cafe du Nord in SF).  be there.

for now, we've posted one of the songs (wizards of the way station) for your enjoyment.  so enjoy.  damnit.
