The vision God has given to this woman is phenomenal! She travels worldwide preaching and teaching God's word with the power, authority and anointing of the Holy Ghost! She is a spiritual covering to serveral ministries in Africa as well as mother not only to her biological children but also a spiritual mom to those God entrusts her with!
God has called Apostle Evans to carry his word to the nations and she has humbly accepted the call. She has ministered in various countries in Africa such as Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda where she has seen the hand of God move in mighty ways with signs and wonders following! God is opening doors for her which no man can close. Her future assignments are in the countries of Africa, Asia, the U.S. and other countries as the Lord directs. Her Testimony!
Born to the parents of Johnnie Lee and Delores Colter at 7 months, weighing in at 4 pounds and 11 ounces in Harlem hospital, Manhatten, New York, December 31, 1962. Her parents moved to South Carolina early in her childhood and later divorced. Joyce went to elementary and high school in South Carolina but had to stop day school in the eleventh grade due to pregnancy at the age of 16. The same year while attending her junior year her mother was incarcerated for involuntary manslaughter. She continued her education in spite of the obstacles and delivered a healthy baby boy, Jerome A. Simmons and graduated the same year as her class in an adult night school.
Married to the father of her child, Joyce became pregnant again which ended in an abortion and personal trauma as well. It was during this marriage that Joyce accepted Jesus into her life but it didn't stop there. The marriage brought about physical abuse as well as her spouse unfaithfulness to the marriage which later ended in a divorce. Joyce married a second time and during this marriage rededicated her life to Christ. This marriage ended in a divorce also because of her spouse unfaithfulness and drug abuse which took her through some mental abuse and low self esteem issues. It was during this relationship and the church God planted her in that she was taught, trained and fell in love with Jesus! She took the word of God, applied it to her life and watched God moved in her spiritually, emotionally and physically! She now began to start seeing herself in a different way! Through her father's eyes!
Married now for over 14 years with three wonderful children and several grandchildren, she gives God all the praise, glory and honor. This woman of God isn't afraid to give testimony after testimony of the awesome power of God and to let the world know that God is able and he will see you through! She is a prime example of when the storms, trails, persecutions and life issues arise know that where you are at that very moment isn't where you will remain if you will remain steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the work of the LORD because God is FAITHFUL!
