Hi family, friends, fans, lovers and stalkers.
Blog time I guess. Sorry this will be shit for awhile till I find my feet. There they are, ok lets begin. My memory is not the best in the world (short term that is) I just need to keep getting not to remember and then I'm safe.
Raindance last sat. I did have another booking on the Friday but I really cant remember what it was, sure it was great, and they all loved me lol Oh yes it was a magic gig at a house party. God was I amazing ;) lol
Once I woke up I had to go do a kids birthday party. I always prefer doing adult parties but they don't pay as well and not as regular(anyone who likes magic and has a party coming up, get in touch or else) Anyway after the kids party I got myself ready for Raindance. First one of 2007 so was really looking forward to this. I meet Mike Hackney(now of Catford fame) who is my gig buddy. He is a regular listener to my Eruption show on Sundays and had won a compitition to attend Epidemic. Since then he has been to almost all my gigs. Out to you Mike. So where was (we will get to Raindance don't worry) Oh yes that's it, I meet Mike near SE One and headed for the club. When we got there we thought there must of been a fire as an alarm could be heard in the background and 1000s of ravers were outside. This, we discovered, was just the queue. Its was nearly 12am at the time. Looked like this was going to be a busy one.
We got into the club and went straight for the hardcore room. Sharkey was on the mic and Uplift & Scar were on the decks. Due to a dj not being able to attend, both sets either side gained an extra 30 mins.
Right look, I know I've taken ages to get to write about the Rave but if you want to find out what it was like, read a review lol I remember being a little bit sweaty in there. The system was a lot better than previous nights, although this is not saying much tbh. I had a great night but had to head off to do my radio show. Thankfully we had a few hours to kill so headed off to my good m8 Twiggys other halfs place. This house had just been sold for over half a million quid. I was careful not to burn the place to the ground. After staying there for awhile, I headed to the studio packed with a load of cds n vinyl as well as a nice little hash cake thanks to the talents of Mark Ashley's misses. Thanks Hun.
The mission to the studio was horrible. I must of got caught at every bloody red light, and every car seemed like they were getting in my way on purpose. After forgetting that Mike Hackney is now Mike Carford, I dropped him off near London Bridge and did my show. I then got back to Harlow and went to sleep for the rest of the day. The end
Thanks for reading this blog. I am very scatty so my gig journeys are always an adventure. You will come to realise this as time goes by so keep reading my blogs. Speak soon
Take Care
