I got all my writing in my blog. usually stuff about ghosts, because its just easy to write about. wish I was more creative,
anyway here you go, all my stuff, copied from my blog.
SANITARIUM
Do you remember that place?
The grass was green on that hill.
It sat silently, majestically overlooking the city.
It was dilapidated, yet appeared as if it would stand forever.
We gazed upon that old relic, with more than its face value in mind.
It was just a dare,
yet felt as if fate had brought us here.
Magnetically pulling us toward the top.
Would we experience a revelation?
What secrets lie behind those double doors and fogged windows?
Do you remember how much we loved each other?
My hand on your shoulder we entered the old building.
The night would come soon but we procrastinated preparing our sleeping place.
I can remember those big, steel, bloodstained droors in some of the walls.
Dozens of them.
I remember the long declined tunnels, streaked with blood.
A skull here, a bone there.
This is where the bodies were disposed of, to contain the illness within these walls.
The heavy iron beds still were bloodsoaked.
The floors corroded from vomit.
It was cold, it was ominous, it was romantic.
We set up our stove and make some pork and beans, just as if we were camping.
I think you felt like more of a man than I.
We slept in the same sleeping bag, you on my chest.
But soon it started.
Something dragged one of the beds in the room down the hall.
We were on our feet before the sound finished reverberating off of those old stone walls.
The shouting, the moaning.
The pounding, the crying.
The blood turned wet,
The vomit smelled.
The steel droors started to drip.
One of them threw itself open as blood struck the adjacent wall.
A grabbed her hand and we turned down the hall.
We just ran, turning down random halls.
Apparitions darting to and fro,
Some strapped to beds, shouting as the reached for us.
At the end of the hall a bright light flooded the hall.
It approached us at a breakneck pace.
As we stood motionless, awaiting our uncertain fate, the wheels began to turn.
I looked to your side, seeing a window.
Sometimes I look out that same window, and I see you looking up.
You were wearing that same dress that night.

To be clear, I do not believe in ghosts, since I am a Christian.
This is a work of fiction.
Faces in the night.
I can see them in the dark.
Something standing over me
disapperas after I awake.
When I cry out,
they leave bitterly.
Lost souls ashamed of hte afterlife in which they are cursed,
lash back,
cry out in eternal anguish,
pound the walls,
and make the bleed.
I must dwell among the dead, but I will not fear them anymore.
I awake in the night,
something has tucked me in.

through this in your head and then you realize tomorrow you have to
pull it together for another day.

The good: Excellent graphics
Extensive upgrades for your weapons. more balanced then resident evil 4.
Co-op is a blast with a friend
lots of unlockables, including the addicting mercenaries mode
the bad: controls may feel dated to those new to the franchise
inventory system is a nuisance at times, especially since you cannot pause when accessing it

The Resident Evil franchise has been slow and stubborn to change over the years. However with declining sales and fed-up fans, Capcom caved in with the release of “Resident Evil 4.” Instead of the overused fixed camera angles, Resident Evil 4 used a camera that would follow the player. The auto-aim was also replaced with an over-the-shoulder aiming system. There was a much wider variety of enemies in this new installment then in the previous games, which was somewhat of a complaint of many fans who grew tired of the original installments. However, many people complained that resident evil 4, while being arguably the best game of the series, left the spooky, zombie killing roots of its predecessors. Will Resident Evil 5 be as groundbreaking the last installment in the franchise. Will it continue to stray away from original formula?
In Resident Evil 5, you take control of Chris Redfield, accompanied by Sheva Alomar, who can be controlled by friend via xbox live/PSN, or split screen. The story isn’t bad, although you may find yourself disconnected if you started with either Resident Evil 4 or 5. The campy dialogue may make fans of the franchise crack a smile or two, but newcomers may be turned off, expecting a more serious approach to a seemingly serious setting. In any case, Capcom does a commendable job of tying up the loose ends that were formed in the beginning of the franchise.
So instead of a creepy house, or the forests and castles of Spain, you are placed in Africa. The new setting may make some gamers wonder if this is even a Resident Evil game, and not “black hawk down” with “zombies.” If you play this game alone, you will be missing out on the hidden strategic approach of the game. If you let the AI take over for Sheva, she will use ammo and health excessively. This isn’t the worst AI you will encounter in a game, in fact she isn’t so bad at taking cover and staying alive, but if you want to get your money’s worth and less headaches from the inventory system, (considering Sheva’s AI cannot combine items such as herbs) then you are best off tackling the competition with a friend. Overall though, if you stay near your teammate as often as you can, you will not have much difficulty finishing the game on the normal difficulty. That said, those who want a challenge should at least play the game on anything harder than normal. You will need your partner not only for taking down enemies, but also for some light puzzle solving. Most of this boils down to two people pushing a button to open a door, so it’s not brain surgery to say the least. It gets more complex than that at times, but not much. Overall, there definitely is a sense of strategy, especially when taking down bosses and the stronger enemies. This strategy may not carry over if you are teaming up with the AI. Sheva, however, is not the only tool at your disposal.
The weapon upgrading system has been carried over from the previous entry. In resident evil 4, you had different catagories of weapons (shotguns, pistiols, rifles, etc.) Each caragory had its own weapon that was better than the rest. This, in a way, eliminates the implementation of weapon upgrades. Why upgrade a weapon if you know you will be selling the moment a better weapon comes along. Now, the weapons have been been properly balanced. An AK-47’s dominating firepower has been evened out by way of the scorpion’ (submachine gun) critical hit upgrades. Capacity and firing fate are other things that are different weapon from weapon, so this time you actually have a real reson to own all the guns. You are still stuck with the inventory system, however you have a huge “overflow” box, so that you may keep your extra items stashed away between missions. The problem with Resident Evil 4 was that you could not store all the weapons away in your limited inventory box. While the guns may not have realistic upgrades, it is satisfying nonetheless.
Just like ever installment in the franchise, the visuals in Resident Evil 5 are incredible. These could be the best graphics consumers have experienced yet. Everything looks incredibly photo realistic, while giving it just enough glossiness to make it feel pretty, without ruining the authenticity and immersion. The soundtrack may not be able to hold a candle to Martin 0’Donnell (halo) or Akira Yamaoka, (silent hill) although it does chime in with perfect timing and definitely above average. The framerates run silky smooth, giving almost no indication of slowdown. The online component is also silky smooth, and is lag free depending on who you are playing with.
When you finish the game, you can choose any chapter you like, which is nice for jumping into a game with another player who has already started. You may also find yourself addicted to the Mercenaries mode, which has found its way back from Resident Evil 4.
In short, Resident evil 5 is a good game, however it can at times be frustrating to fight with the seemingly dated inventory system , all the while worrying about what enemies are creeping up behind you. The controls are also a little dated, but for loyal fans of the series, it will suit them find. Resident Evil 5 doesn’t feel much like any other resident evil game, losing a lot of what made the other games a suspenceful and scary experience. This was somewhat of a criticism in Resident Evil 4, but it was let go due to how groundbreaking it was for the series. Instead Capcom left is with a great action game with a presentation that is hard to match.

PROS: Impressive ambiance and music
Decent length. Piloting the mechs is always destructive and fun.
CONS: Gameplay is generic, and has not changed dramtically from the first FEAR.
Not that scary.
the variety of multiplayer modes is a nice addition, but armored front is the only innovative mode.
Story is disappointing.
Far too much information provided via text on PDAs.

In FEAR 2, you get to relive the ending of the first game. You are Beckett, a member of Delta Force, chasing after Jeneaveve Arastine: the president of Armacham Technology. Of course, Alma is back and is very much a key role in the story. The problem is that FEAR 2 just isn’t as mysterious or scary as the first. Alma is now a key character, thus removing the curiosity that she provoked in us while playing the first FEAR. Secondly, there aren’t many plot twists that to keep you hooked into story and it feels like Monolith is running out of ideas. Most of the references to the FEAR are scattered everywhere on PDAs that you have to read. You could form a short novel with the amount of text that you may or may not read.
You will trudge your way through a decent variety of linear environments. This is one of the areas where FEAR 2 improves over the first. The elementary school could arguably be the best part of the game. Unfortunately, the outdoor portions of the game are just as linear as the indoor ones. You have a variety of guns at your disposal, although most of them are standard for most shooters. The only exceptions are the napalm launcher, although enemies may recover after being torched, which may lead in your death if they catch you by surprise. The “hammerhead”(essentially the “penetrator” from FEAR 1), reminds us how fun pinning enemies to the wall can be. The grenades, however, provide more variety than the guns. You have 4 to choose from: proxy mines, incendiary, shock grenades and frags. These are fun to use, although in the heat of a firefight, it may not be an option to cycle through them. You will also get a couple oppurtunities to pilot a mech, to deliver some serious firepower. These segments are challenging and fun. You will get your hands on a turret from time to time, but these segments just aren’t as fun as the mech segments, however they do help break up the gameplay. Your other weapon, while not being a mech or gun, is every bit as essential. It is the trust bullet-time that was present in the first FEAR. It will end up being a crutch you lean on most of the time, however you have to be careful when you use it. Your slow-mo expiring at the wrong time can prove fatal.
The enemy variety has been upgraded from the first FEAR. A new addition to the enemy roster is the remnant, which can duplicate himself. Also abominations will crawl around, tempting you to use your slow things down to get an easier shot on them. And just like the first FEAR, there will be a handful of boss battles that are always a blast, although not as challenging this time around. The enemy AI is a notch above your average shooter, however they don’t seem as aggressive this time around. They are more content holding their ground and throwing grenades, instead of flanking you. They will also tip over objects to give themselves cover. You may do the same, but some objects just aren’t tall enough to provide adequate cover and you may as well save your time and use whatever cover is already available to you, instead of getting lit up while tipping over a desk. You may be more of a bullet sponge on the normal difficulty, so tip away, however on hard difficulty, working fast is your best bet. All in all, FEAR 2 is not that difficult of a game. Even on the hard difficulty, the experienced player will not see it as an serious challenge. Sometimes frustration can set in when you have just saved a check point, you have little health, and enemies are pouring at you. This is one reason many games have ditched the health box system ad have moved onto regenerating health. However, if you absolutely cannot clear the checkpoint, you can always turn down the difficulty setting.
FEAR 2 also has multiplayer over xbox live, however there really isn’t anything too interesting here. Other than playing Armored Front mode where teammates can pilot a mech, there isn’t anything here you haven’t experienced before.
Overall FEAR 2 is an average shooter experience. It simply doesn’t break away from original formula often enough compel you to shell out sixty bones for what feels like yet another expansion from the original game.

Far cry 2 review (xbox 360)
Far cry 2 isn’t really a sequel to far cry. Instead of the tropics, it’s a war torn Africa. There aren’t any mutant either. It is a straight forwar war setting. You can play as one of three characters. However, since the whole game is in first person mode, it is kind of a worthless feature. Secondly, your character has basically no effect on the story at all. All that matters is that you are a mercenery, taking jobs here and there, growing closer and closer to “the jackal,” the weapons dealer who is profiting from this civil war., along with extending it. At first, it is easy to look past the lightning fast dialogue and monotone actors in the hopes that the story will be dark, gritty and enveloping. Unfortunetely, you soon start to wonder, “What happened to the story?” Fortunately, Far Cry 2 makes up in some areas where it fell short in story telling.
Ubisoft comprimised story for making a large, beautiful African landscape for you to roam as you please. However, most of the time you are viewing the landscape is behind the wheel of a vehicle. At first, driving is fun and a great way to soak up the scenery. Your secondary tool your arsenal of weapons. This is one of the areas where far cry 2 shines. If you follow the weapon dealer’s orders, he will keep bringing in new weapons for you to play with along with upgrades for your arsenal. Ubisoft really outdid themselves with the variety that is available, coupled with a hint of realism. If you hold onto a weapon for too long, it will wear down, causing it to jam, and even blow up altogether if you are too stubborn to put it down. There is a wide variety of shotguns, machine guns, and sniper rifles, and unlike many games, the weapons have their own purpose. But there is also a flame thrower, flare gun, molitovs and frag grenades. These are all great firestarters, and fire will be one of your best weapons throughout the game. Far Cry 2 has astoundingly realistic fire, and it will burn for quite some time and distance, especially when the wind is blowing. Enemies will be distracted by the fire, which may make for an easy escape, or maybe just to keep them occupied while you flank them. The enemy AI reacts fairly realistically to anything you throw at them, and the fire is no exception. However you will not get to experience the firestarting weapons (or any other weapon) without diamonds. Diamonds are the only form of currency in Africa in its war torn state. These are only collected through the many random suitcases scattered throughout the game, or collected from characters upon accepting or completing an objective.
The objectives you will acquire will usually require driving for a long time. You may choose to take the bus, which will basically work as a teleporter. However, even if you are able to find a bus next to your destination, you will still usually have to do some driving to get there. This is what really cripples far cry 2. At first the driving is fun, but it gets stale fast, as does the nature of the missions. The majority of the missions consist of driving to a position marked on your map, gunning down someone or blowing something up. On rare occasion you may have to pick up something and deliver it to someone, but this is the extent of the mission variety. Another problem with the traveling is on the console versions of the game, there is no quicksaving. So the only way you can save is if you find a safe house or complete an objective. These safe houses are fairly plentiful, and if you are lucky enough to chat it up with a buddy, they will agree to save you if you go down in a fight. However, it easy to get engrossed the game and forget to save, which means retracing your steps. This means make sure your health kits are full, and don’t let your health drop down to the last bar. If it does, you have to do some surgery like pulling out a bullet or a piece of debris before you bleed out. This may not be an option in a firefight, so it is imparitive to watch the health gauge.
Along with the single player campaign, you can go online. There is the standard CTF, deathmatch and team deathmatch. It is a surprisingly fun addition considering the focus was on the single player. The only problem is that there isn’t very many people playing on xbox live, let alone people actually playing on custom maps.

THE GOOD:
Beautiful graphics, environments, and fire. Runs smoothly on consoles.
Realistic weather. Realistic day/night cycle. Watching the sun rise over the savanna never gets old.
Realistic weapon jamming and first aid techniques.
Custom mapmaking
THE BAD:
Not enough buses/too much driving
No quicksaving
Lacking objective variety
Story and acting could have been better, and maybe could have made the repetitive objectives a bit more ignorable.
Not many people playing on xbox live
All in all, Far Cry 2 has some glaring flaws, but it still a breath of fresh air that everyone should try. I give far cry 2

The DOOM franchise has always been looked up to as one of the best FPS franchises of all time. It was ahead of its time when it was released. DOOM introduced many elements (exploding barrols, gibbing etc) that are considered staples in FPS mechanics to this day. It has been a very long time since anything DOOM has been released, and expectations are high. Can Id pull off a sequel that is as groundbreaking as its predacessors? Story The brainiacs at the UAC have been hard at work developing state of the art teleporters for the sole purpose of expanding space exploration beyond what was previously considered impossible. The only problem is that the technology fell into the wrong hands and a portal to hell has been opened. Seeing the carnage unfold is pretty entertaining, but once most of the UAC staff is dead, the story pretty much becomes worthless. Many gamers expected more from Id considering they prominsed a good story written by Matthew J. Costello. Fortunetely for us, DOOM has never been completely story driven, nor is story needed in any DOOM game to be enjoyed. However, the dissapointment is still worth noting. Presentation So as you progress through the game you start to acquire new weapons and encounter new enemies. You will soon realize that each weapon has its own strategy. While DOOM 3’s biggest rule is “If it moves, kill it,” that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some strategy. You will learn to duck under fireballs and step out of range of swinging enemies, all the while pumping out shotgun shells at best timed moments. Even later you will be shooting down fireballs and rockets with your shiny new plasma gun, and taking out the faster, smaller enemies with your machinegun. Even though DOOM 3 is plagued with brainless AI, Id found a way to implement stategy anyway, and they did a fine job. However, its not perfect. The lack of a flashlight on your weapons was a poor attempt at scaring gamers. Instead of getting under your skin, they usually just have something jump out at you. The fact that you are face to face with an enemy and you are holding a flashlight rather than a gun, can make you feel shocked and defenseless. It sort of becomes more of a chore than anything else, but luckily there is typically enough lighting to dispatch the enemies. The darkness was likely impletemented to show off DOOM 3’s impressive lighting and textures. To see a fireball penetrate the darkness, and completely illuminate the room as it explodes on the wall behind you is indeed a sight to behold. Every inch of DOOM 3 is layered with realistic textures. Doom 3 should take you around 20 hours to finish. Id did a great job at pacing the new enemies and weapons to keep you hooked in until the very end. DOOM 3 was critisized by many for its flashlight, linear design and brainless AI, as well as not being true to DOOM 1 and 2's design. However, these flaws are easily overlooked when you sink your teeth into the intense combat and stunning presentation of this overall underrated game.
