Current mood:  chill
Category: Life
It's been a while since I've posted here.  I should maybe do that more often.  Like now, when I'm procrastinating from homework.  Actually, I'm in the middle of "research."  Back in the swing of things with grad school.  Haven't freaked out this semester.  Yet....

I don't want to have to read the word "paradigm" anymore this semester.  And it's only been a week....

Thinking about new stuff for my writerly web site, but that'll kinda have to wait....

Okay, back to it....

Part 2 of my interview on the Ramble Redhead Show is up and running. I haven't listened to it it yet, but hopefully I don't say, "Ya know," as much. I think I was more at ease the second time around, so that helps.

If you're so inclined, leave Ramble comments on his site or over at iTunes. He'd love to hear from you!

Be well, everyone!

Current mood:  good

So, a few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Tom aka Ramble Redhead for his podcast. He's based here in South Bend, so I was able to stop by his place for the fun. He interviews various gay folk in the arts, media, and otherwise.

You can listen at his web site RambleRedhead.com. If you have iTunes, you can subscribe to the podcast there. I'm episode #113. There will be at least one more episode with me. Last week, we did another interview by phone, so keep an eye out for that.

I say "You know," way too much. :-P

Enjoy!

Hey Everyone! First, Thanks to all of you who posted wonderful Birthday comments in the past week. I love them all! :-)

So, now that my show is over at IUSB, and November is upon us, I've decided to take the plunge and participate in NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Sounds slightly insane, but the stars are rather aligned this year for me to do this.

Wish me luck and stuff!

So, like, I blog elsewhere, but thought maybe I'd put select entries here on the Myspace as well. This was originally written yesterday. Be well.

As in Fall. Autumn. High Holy Season. Yayness! Today at the farmer's market, we bought corn stalks and tied them to our front porch steps railings. Got some gourds and and pumpkin butter. And a bucket of Michigan Gala apples. With the Equinox being a week away, I may explode with being at the market on that day. I'm just sayin.

I need to call Grandma and see if my grandfather's apple sauce recipe is written down, or if he just knew it. If it's the latter, well, I'm afraid it's lost. Unless Grandma kinda knows it. I need to find out. I don't really have anything of my grandfather's. I think this would be a pretty good thing to have. Not sure what kind of apples he used. I remember his being excited about Jonathans, but not sure if that's what he used for the sauce. The sauce rocks my world.

The pumpkins haven't shown up at the market yet. Soon enough, I'm sure. Still early....

So, my reading went well. Not a huge turn out, but it was still good to look at the script again and hear some feedback. Many of the actors were Western buddies, so it was cool to see them, especially my old roommate Sarah. I have a few things to think about the next time I go through things. Good to get back into the city as well! We walked around our old 'hood, and got haircuts at Halo. Yay!

With Their Eyes rehearsals are going well. Been doing one-on-one rehearsals to work everyone's monologues. Last night was a read through with everyone. Everyone's coming along wonderfully! One of the quieter guys really improved, even since we worked on things Wednesday. I think having the group all together helped with his energy and his enunciation and everything. One of his monologues is a staff member of the school and when he started talking about his son, my eyes were pretty damp. Hello! We get into to space on Monday. I need to take some more time between now and then to go through staging ideas. The floor plan should be taped out on the floor that morning.

We're driving to Goshen tonight to see a play at New World Arts. We're intrigued to check out some local arts-ness. So yeah, that's the plan.

I picked up The Essential Dolly Parton at Virgin when we were in town. We'd caught a Top Dolly Moments thing on CMT and we were like You know, we really need some Dolly. New John Mayer CD's good. New Ben Kweller next week!

Okay, all for now. Be well. Good weekend, all. Cheers.
