Some times when I start thinking, I start to ponder what is this life
and why am I here. Is there a greater goal or just random shifts of
change occurring in my life. Is there any meaning to this existence or
is it all just a random blur. When I fall deep into these thoughts I
feel almost astonished of what my mind returns. Life is more of a
collection of occurring circumstances than a intensely deep state of
related changes.
I believe that to understand life is to first understand what you are.
However that does not mean understand who I am, but what we are. When I
look at the world around me, I find only a reason to accept that it is
a illusion propagated by my own mind. I am not what is happening around
me, but what I have created in mind about what is happening around me.
At times I feel absorbed with personal circumstances and self generated
ideas. I often have to repeat thoughts and drift towards opinions of
how I should react. This behavior I justify with 'Its for my own good',
or 'this is how I should behave'. These reactions bore me and I often
just say screw it.
One of the things I love to do is write down what is in my thoughts in
the form of code. This behavior is how I get through the day in day out
boredom of my perceived reality. At times I feel weak and at times I
feel strong. This is all part of being human and everyone deals with
these issues. The code I write is warped in a way of how I am thinking
at the time I write it.
I feel lonely a lot of the time but this is due to my own behavior. If
I were to leave my sheltered surroundings and venture off into the
'real world' I would of course find companions. However for some reason
I feel the urge to not do this. I trap myself in this world by not
wanting to do the things that will produce a healthy mind. I feel
almost paralyzed at the idea of leaving here and I can't seem to figure
out why. It is almost as if I sabotage my life by 'sticking to myself'.
Anyway that is my current thoughts as of now.

I finally figured out the bug in the source took me months of going over it. It was I forgot to unlock a surface and it would be locked over and over. This worked in most implementations of the API I used, but the Mac version it would not. So here it is in all its glory Super Stoner 420 for the Mac. http://lostsidedead.biz/osx/ss420.dmg* binary on server now contains the binary linked in static mode.

In the year 2001 I thought I knew everything there was to know about
C++ and computer programming, and the truth was much different. I had
been wandering around in the dark with the lights dimmed very low so I
could only see what was right in front of me. My thoughts were closed
of to ideas because of my ego and attitude. I thought if I can’t think
it into my current understanding, it must be ‘impossible’. I went on
many years like this writing many programs incorrect,
not following basic guidelines because I was oblivious to the fact they existed.
It took until the year 2006 after a brief psychosis when I bought the
book “Effective C++ by Scott Meyers” and decided to actually look at my
code and take in what the author said. From that point, I tried to
relearn from my old bad habits and to this day I am still learning all
sorts of new things. My style has changed, my structure has changed and
I have changed as a person. I no longer just assume. I think that I
have grown as a individual and as a programmer and hope to work on many
new projects in the future.

Three tips for becoming a better programmer:
1: Read:
Reading is essential part of learning to program may it be books you
buy from the bookstore or Amazon, or e-books you download online.
Whenever you are not programming and have spare time, read. Read about
topics that relate to your current project or future projects. Read
books that has to do with standards, libraries, and other essential
topics.
2: Practice:
Practice is key, a wise person once said, “Practice makes the Master”.
After you read about a certain topic or key concept and have done the
examples from the book branch off into your own example. Write your own
mini program to test the concept, so that it is cemented in your mind
when writing your own applications. Repeat these steps continuously.
3: Open Your Mind:
Never close your mind to languages or idea’s. Never think with smug
assurance that another is wrong and you are right without even thinking
or processing the information. I had this problem for many years I
thought I knew it all, than once I opened my mind I started to actually
learn how to code for real. By this I mean don’t discard suggestions
look at them with a open view at than decide if it’s right for you.
Anyone can code, it takes dedication to make a true Programmer.

underneath the cloud of smoke, and mountain of pills I am confused and locked in the empty is filled with thoughts not my own rearranged and sold my soul for a sense of peace
Mystery surrounds, sounds pound Locked in this room, stone and cloth Screaming for a way out waiting for a escape, the next shot
Drift to far, and can't swim back stay in a safe place, soul twisted and black senses distorted lies within my mind just a sense of piece for a few dimes.

I finally got around to porting this game (one of the first I ever wrote) to the Mac. It has the high scores in tact, and the original graphics with the big typo.. This is more of a memory then anything it reminds me of days of great wonder when I was just figuring things out.

I just realized I turned 26 and the past year seemed to fly by. During this year I made quite a few personal accomplishments. I stopped using marijuana and clonazapam, I was stabilized on my medications, my focus and concentration is clearer and more focused. I made a demo implementation of masterx-ovdm and it actually worked. I have opened my thoughts to others and objectively listened to there idea's, rather than rejecting them. I have read many books and taught myself a few new programming languages. All around it has been a good year for me. I feel as if I have grown as a person. I feel open to life and look forward to the future.
